Okay, let's talk Yashahime. Specifically, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Episode 1, subbed. Remember the hype?

Everyone was SO ready for this sequel. We were promised adventure, mystery, and maybe some answers about our old pals, Inuyasha and Kagome.

First Impressions: A Little...Confused?

That first episode dropped and... well, things got weird fast. We met Towa and Setsuna, and Moroha showed up later. Then we're thrown into a whole new era.

Three daughters. Separated sisters. A lot of unanswered questions. Did anyone else feel like they missed a crucial memo?

My Unpopular Opinion: It Was a Bit of a Mess

Here's where I might get some side-eye. I think the first episode was a bit messy. Fight me!

The pacing felt frantic. Characters popped up and then disappeared. Plot threads were dangling everywhere.

Like, who were all these new demons? Why did Inuyasha and Kagome peace out on their kid?

I know, I know, mystery boxes are cool. But this felt like they threw a whole box of mysteries at us all at once.

The Subtitles: Did They Help?

Thank goodness for subtitles, am I right? I would have been totally lost without them. I mean, demon-slaying terminology isn’t exactly everyday conversation.

But even with the subs, the plot was still a tad confusing. Maybe it was me.

Maybe I needed more coffee before diving in. Who knows?

The Animation Style: An Upgrade?

The animation looked great! It definitely has a more modern feel. This is a noticeable upgrade from the original series, Inuyasha.

However, the animation quality couldn't totally distract from the plot's chaos. Shiny doesn't always mean amazing story.

But hey, at least it was pretty to look at, right?

Moroha: The Star of the Show?

Let’s talk about Moroha. Kagome and Inuyasha's daughter stole the show. She's spunky, powerful, and has that classic Inuyasha attitude.

She's the one character that immediately felt familiar. And she provided some much-needed comic relief.

I found myself rooting for her instantly. Give Moroha her own spinoff!

Was It Worth It?

Despite my initial confusion, I kept watching. I had to know what happened to Inuyasha and Kagome. And I needed to see more Moroha.

Plus, I'm a sucker for nostalgia. The opening theme song gave me all the feels.

So, was Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Episode 1 perfect? No. But did it hook me? Absolutely!

I was willing to look pass it’s flaws. I was just really happy to see my favorite characters again!

I'll continue watching and hoping for answers. And maybe, just maybe, a little less confusion along the way!
