Unpopular Opinion Time: It's Worth the Wait (Kind Of)
Now, hear me out. I know waiting is excruciating. But maybe, just maybe, a longer break means a better season?
Think about it: more time for writing, filming, and editing. More time for Sam Heughan to perfect that Scottish brogue (as if it needs perfecting!).
However, let's be real. I'm also totally impatient. I want my fix of kilts and Scottish landscapes now!
Distraction Tactics: Surviving the Drought
What's a fan to do in the meantime? Besides rewatching old episodes (obviously). And reading the books. Again.
Maybe it's time to explore other historical dramas? I've heard good things about that show with the fancy costumes.
Or perhaps learn Gaelic? I could greet Jamie Fraser properly when I inevitably run into him at the grocery store (a girl can dream, right?).
The Final Season: A bittersweet pill
Adding insult to injury, season 8 is confirmed to be the final season. This is so sad!
Eight seasons is a good run. However, I'm not ready to say goodbye. I'm not sure anyone is.
At least we have a prequel series to look forward to? Outlander: Blood of My Blood will tell the story of Jamie's parents. And Claire's parents as well!
Keeping the Faith (and the Hope)

November 2024 feels like a lifetime away. But at least we have a date. And lots of time to prepare ourselves emotionally.
