Let's be real, the Joint Training arc is… fine. It's got cool battles, sure. But it's mostly about everyone showing off their new quirks.

It's like the anime is flexing. "Look at what everyone can do!" And then... nothing much happens.

No real long-term consequences. Just a bunch of teens with ego boosts.

Endeavor Agency: Now We're Talking!

This is where the real character development happens. Deku starts to truly understand his power. Bakugo learns… well, he learns to tolerate people slightly better.

And Shoto? He continues his journey of self-discovery. Plus, we get introduced to new villains with terrifying abilities!

The Nomu get a major upgrade. And the stakes are actually life or death. Not just "lose the training exercise" death.

The Meta Liberation Army/Paranormal Liberation Front Problem

Okay, this is where things get… complicated. Some people (not me!) might argue that the Meta Liberation Army arc is also a strong contender for "start of season 5."

But that's a whole different can of worms. The pacing in the anime felt... off.

It was adapted later in the season than the manga.

So, What Chapter Really Kicks It Off?

For me, it's around Chapter 258 in the manga. This is where the Endeavor Agency arc gets going. This is where the plot REALLY thickens.

This is where Deku starts seeing those creepy visions. This is where we learn more about One For All's past.

And this is where we get to see Endeavor try (and sometimes fail) to be a better hero. And maybe a slightly better dad.
