The Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Ep 35

Okay, let's talk about The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, specifically episode 35. I know, I know, we're a bit behind. But hear me out!
Did anyone else find this episode... unexpectedly chill? Like, after all the chaos, we just kinda hung out. It felt like a breather episode before the storm.
Am I the only one who wasn't completely blown away? This might be an unpopular opinion, but let's dive in!
Must Read
The Rimuru Show (and His Pals)
Seriously, Rimuru is the ultimate power fantasy character. He just absorbs everything and gets stronger! I'm low-key jealous.
But in this episode, even his usual amazingness felt a little... muted? It's like he was on autopilot for a bit.
Don't get me wrong, I love Rimuru. Who doesn't love a cute slime who can destroy entire armies? But even heroes need a day off, I guess.

The Calm Before the Storm? Maybe?
The episode definitely felt like it was setting things up. Little hints here and there, suggesting something big is coming.
Was it engaging? Sure. Was it edge-of-your-seat thrilling? Not so much, in my opinion. It felt more like checking in with everyone before the real party started.
We see Rimuru delegating, strategizing, and generally being a responsible ruler. Which is great! But I'm here for the slime battles, people!
The Other Characters' Time to Shine? (Sort Of)
Let's be honest, some of the side characters can get a little... overshadowed. Shuna is adorable, Benimaru is cool, but sometimes they fade into the background.

This episode gave them a few moments, but not enough to really make a huge impact. I wanted to see more personality!
I think sometimes there's just too many people in Tempest to give them all the screen time they deserve. It's a good problem to have, but still!
Where's the Drama?
I'm not saying I want constant conflict. But a little bit of tension would have been nice.
Everything felt a little too... smooth. Rimuru solves every problem with ease. Where's the struggle? Where's the suspense?

Maybe I'm just a drama queen. I admit it! But a little conflict keeps things interesting, don't you think?
My (Potentially Controversial) Conclusion
Okay, so here's the deal. Episode 35 wasn't bad. It just wasn't amazing, in my book. It was... fine.
It felt like a stepping stone to something bigger. A setup episode, if you will.
And look, maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. But that's my take! What did you think?

Maybe the calmness is setting us up for the rug to be pulled out from under us in the next episode. I certainly hope so.
I'm still totally on board with the series. Rimuru will prevail!
And I'll be here, ready to overanalyze every single episode. Because that's just what I do!
So, bring on the slime battles! Bring on the drama! Let's get this show on the road! The show knows how to do it, that's for sure.
But let's not forget the power of friendship!
