The Movies That Made Us is back! Season 3 kicks off with a bang. This time, we're diving into the totally tubular world of Back to the Future.

Did you watch it? I did! Buckle up, because I have some thoughts. And maybe, just maybe, some slightly controversial opinions.

Doc Brown: Mad Genius or... Overrated?

Okay, hear me out. Doc Brown is iconic. Christopher Lloyd is brilliant. But is Doc really that smart?

He builds a time machine out of a DeLorean. Cool, right? But then he needs plutonium? And later, lightning? Seems a bit... haphazard for a genius.

Maybe he's just really good at improvising. Or maybe he's just lucky. Don't @ me!

The DeLorean: Sexiest Time Machine Ever?

Let's be honest, the DeLorean is a looker. Those gull-wing doors? Chef's kiss. But is it practical? Absolutely not.

I mean, imagine trying to parallel park that thing. Or getting groceries. Marty McFly had it easy. He didn't have to worry about Hill Valley traffic.

Still, I wouldn't kick it out of my garage. Even if I had to build a whole new garage just to fit those doors.

Marty McFly: The Original Manic Pixie Dream Boy?

Okay, this might be my spiciest take yet. Marty McFly saves the day, sure. But does he also kinda... manipulate his parents?

He basically forces them to fall in love. Seems a little controlling, no? I’m just saying. It’s something to think about.

He is cute, though. You gotta give him that. Plus, that guitar solo is killer.

The 80s: Were They Really That Great?

Back to the Future is a love letter to the 80s. The fashion, the music, the... everything! But were the 80s really that great?

Acid wash jeans? Leg warmers? Shoulder pads that could kill a man? I'm not so sure.

Still, the movie makes me nostalgic. Maybe it's the power of cinema. Or maybe it's just the catchy soundtrack. Either way, I'm not complaining.

Overall Verdict: Still a Classic

Despite my nitpicking, Back to the Future is a fantastic movie. It's funny, exciting, and surprisingly heartwarming. It truly earned its spot in cinematic history.

The Movies That Made Us does a great job of showing why. The interviews are insightful. The behind-the-scenes stories are fascinating.

So, go watch it! And then come back and tell me if I'm completely wrong about Doc Brown. I'm ready to be convinced.
