Okay, creatures of the night (and daytime Netflix bingers!), let’s talk about the What We Do in the Shadows season finale. Did anyone else’s jaw drop as many times as Nandor changed wives? Because mine certainly did!

Forget sparkly vampires, these Staten Island vamps brought the awkward, the absurd, and just a sprinkle of genuine heart, which is, let's be honest, kinda shocking coming from a bunch of undead weirdos.

Nandor's Never-Ending Quest for...Love?

Our favorite, eternally yearning warrior, Nandor the Relentless, has been on a wild ride this season. His quest for a wife took more turns than a bat in a hurricane.

The sheer number of temporary spouses he accumulated was truly astonishing. Did he ever find true love? Well, that’s a question the show hilariously refuses to fully answer.

I can say that the ending scene with Guillermo was an absolute banger of all the cliffhangers! It was just perfect.

Guillermo: From Familiar to...Something More?

Speaking of Guillermo, bless his perpetually exhausted heart. Our faithful familiar finally got the guts to pursue his own destiny.

Remember how he was constantly saving the vampires from themselves? This season he fully embraced his skills and took a different path.

What will happen to him? We are all excited to see what that entails for season 6. Hopefully, we will get some answers.

Nadja's Eternal Hustle

Nadja, our ever-ambitious Romani vampire, was as delightfully chaotic as ever. Her vampire nightclub dream has always been a wild ride.

Though she faced some bumps, her ambition to be self-sufficient and get respect in the human world is very admirable. She's a girl boss in the most literal, blood-sucking sense.

Her relationship with the doll of herself is both hilarious and slightly disturbing. And we loved it.

Laszlo's Endearing Eccentricity

Ah, Laszlo, the charming rogue with a heart of (mostly) gold. He continued to be the voice of reason…or at least, the voice of a reason, however bizarre.

His commitment to Nadja, however strange their relationship may be, is actually very heartwarming. He's definitely husband material in a very weird, vampire way.

And let's not forget his scientific pursuits! He always manages to bring a touch of…intellectualism?…to the group’s shenanigans.

Colin Robinson: Still an Energy Vampire

And then there's Colin Robinson, still sucking the energy out of every room he enters. He always gives us the most boring and at the same time funny lines.

Even as a child, his droning was effective. His ability to bore people into oblivion remains a constant source of amusement.

His existence proves that the most terrifying monsters can be the ones hiding in plain sight, talking about municipal zoning regulations.

The Finale's Big Twist

But let's get back to the finale! The biggest shocker involved a certain familiar finally taking matters into his own hands. It was a moment we were all secretly (or not-so-secretly) waiting for.

It was filled with tension, excitement and hope. This is what we want to see!

What does this mean for the group dynamic? Will there be new alliances? New enemies? We will see. The possibilities are endless!

Why We Love These Shadows

Ultimately, What We Do in the Shadows continues to be brilliant because it's more than just a vampire comedy. It’s a show about found family, about navigating the complexities of life (or unlife), and about finding humor in the everyday absurdities of existence.

It reminds us that even immortal beings can be just as awkward, insecure, and downright silly as the rest of us. The show is like a warm, blood-soaked hug.

I simply cannot wait for season 6. One thing is for sure, I am not ready for this show to end. Season 6 is going to be epic!
