I Know What You Did Last Summer 2021 Cast

Okay, let's talk about the I Know What You Did Last Summer TV show. The 2021 version. You know, the one that tried to capture the magic of the original movie, but, well...did it?
The Cast: A Beachy Bunch
The cast was attractive, for sure. They were all perfectly cast to play teens. I mean, who wouldn't want to hang out with them on a beach somewhere?
Madison Iseman as Lennon/Allison
Madison Iseman played the twins, Lennon and Allison. It's a dual role, so twice the acting challenge. I think she did a pretty good job differentiating them, even if their personalities were a bit...predictable.
Must Read
Okay, unpopular opinion time! I sometimes got the twins mixed up. Was that just me? Maybe it was the similar lighting and the constant drama.
Brianne Tju as Margot
Brianne Tju played Margot, the social media obsessed friend. She was probably my favorite character. She delivered some of the best lines, and honestly, I think she deserved her own spin-off.

Margot was messy and flawed, but also surprisingly loyal. Isn't that what we all secretly love in a character? Plus, her style was killer!
Ezekiel Goodman as Dylan
Ezekiel Goodman played Dylan, the brooding and somewhat mysterious boyfriend. He was the typical "tortured soul" of the group. He had secrets, of course.
I'm just saying, did anyone else find Dylan a little...bland? I get that he was supposed to be the quiet, observant one, but come on! Give us something!

Ashley Moore as Riley
Ashley Moore was Riley. The slightly overlooked, but secretly wise friend. She was dealing with her own issues, as everyone in this town seemed to be.
Riley was the voice of reason in a sea of teenage angst and questionable decisions. And her style? Impeccable. Seriously, wardrobe department, hats off to you.
Sebastian Amoruso as Johnny
And then there's Sebastian Amoruso, who played Johnny. He was the jock. The popular guy. The...you get the picture.

Johnny’s character arc was…interesting. He had some good moments of growth, I will give him that. He was probably the most changed since that fateful summer.
The Verdict?
Overall, the cast was solid. They were attractive, talented, and did their best with the material. Each actor brought something unique to their role.
But did they reach the iconic status of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar? Hmm…that's a tough one. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

Maybe it was the writing. Or maybe it was that the original movie is just too hard to top. The cast was there, but the magic wasn't quite the same. What do you think?
Did you find yourself wanting more beachy screams? Or was it a case of "some things are better left in the 90s"? Let's debate!
I'm not saying the show was terrible, I'm just saying... maybe I'll stick with the original movie. And maybe buy a yellow slicker, just in case.
