How To Train Your Dragon Riders Of Berk Episode 7

Okay, dragon fans, let's talk "How to Train Your Dragon: Riders of Berk," specifically episode 7. Get ready, because I'm about to drop some truth bombs.
The Night and the Fury
This episode? It's all about Toothless. He goes a bit wild, right? Everyone thinks he's, you know, losing it.
Hiccup, being the amazing dragon friend he is, tries to figure out what's wrong. The bond between these two is seriously heartwarming, isn't it? But does it always have to be sunshine and rainbows?
Must Read
Then we get the whole "missing Night Fury" thing. Dun dun DUNNN! Turns out, there might be another one out there. Cue the suspenseful music!
Unpopular Opinion Time
Here's where I might lose some of you. I actually kind of liked the "is Toothless going rogue?" plotline. I know, I know, betraying our precious dragon! But hear me out.

Think about it. Everyone assumes Toothless is perfect because he's Hiccup's dragon. This episode at least hints at the fact that even the best dragons have instincts.
Maybe that's the point. It's a reminder that Toothless isn't just a pet. He's a powerful, wild creature. Accepting that wildness makes their friendship even stronger.
It's easy to love the cuddly side. But it takes real courage to love the potential for danger, too.

The "Other" Fury
The mystery of the other Night Fury? Honestly, I wasn't that thrilled. Another Night Fury? It felt a bit… forced. Like, they needed a reason to amp up the drama.
Did we really need a plot device to show the depth of the bond between Hiccup and Toothless? Their connection was strong enough already. Did we need a rival?
It was a little too convenient, I think. I still enjoyed the episode, but this felt like a plot shortcut. And maybe that’s what bothered me.

Astrid's Involvement
Astrid is, as usual, awesome. She is supportive, strategic, and always willing to jump in. But sometimes she feels a little... overlooked? This episode, though, she brought some much needed grounding. She and Hiccup work as a great team.
She's often the voice of reason. Which, let's be honest, Hiccup desperately needs sometimes. You gotta love that viking tough girl.
Overall Thoughts
Despite my nitpicks, this is a solid episode. The animation is fantastic, as always. The music is catchy, and the voice acting is spot-on.

And the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless? It's why we're all here, isn't it? It’s what makes the series so good! Even if this episode maybe cheapened it by adding another Night Fury.
So, did you love this episode? Or am I alone in my slightly controversial opinions? Let me know!
Maybe, just maybe, I'm totally wrong. But hey, that's the fun of discussing our favorite shows, right?
