Apple Tv Does Not Remember Where I Left Off
Is it just me, or does Apple TV have a memory problem? I'm starting to think it's playing a cruel joke on me. A very expensive joke.
I settle in, ready to binge-watch that new show everyone's raving about. Episode one? Amazing! I pause halfway through episode two. Life calls, you know?
The next night, I'm ready to dive back in. I grab the remote. But where am I? Did Apple TV remember? Of course not!

The Eternal Search for My Spot
Suddenly, I'm a digital archaeologist. I'm excavating through the timeline. Frantically searching for the exact moment I stopped watching. Was it minute 17? 22? Ugh!
It's like Apple TV is saying, "Surprise! Enjoy rewatching a scene or two. Maybe the whole episode! Who cares about your precious time?"
Meanwhile, Netflix is over there, all smug. It remembers down to the very second! I swear, sometimes I think about switching just because of this.
It's Not Just Me, Right?
I can't be the only one suffering from this first-world problem. I feel like I'm constantly yelling at my television. "Remember! Remember where I was!"
Maybe I should start taking notes. A little notebook next to the couch. "Bridgerton, Season 3, Episode 2, 23:47 - Lady Whistledown reveals a secret." Ridiculous!
Or maybe Apple TV just wants me to rewatch everything. Build up those viewing numbers. It's all a conspiracy, I tell you!
The Struggle is Real (and Annoying)
I've tried everything. Closing the app properly. Restarting the Apple TV. Sacrificing a goat under the full moon. Okay, maybe not the goat thing.
But still, the problem persists. It taunts me. A constant reminder that technology isn't perfect. Even fancy, expensive technology.
I'm starting to think I need a support group. "Apple TV Amnesia Anonymous." We could share our stories. Offer each other tissues.
A Modest Proposal (for Apple, Obviously)
Dear Apple, please, for the love of all that is holy, fix this. I beg you! Is it really that hard to remember where I stopped watching Ted Lasso?
Maybe add a little "Resume Watching" button. A big, obvious button. One that even I can't miss after a long day.
Or even better, develop mind-reading technology. Know exactly when I'm ready to watch again. Know my deepest desires. Okay, maybe that's a little much.
Living with the Glitch (for Now)
Until then, I'll continue my archaeological digs. I'll curse under my breath. I'll occasionally yell at the TV.
I might even start timing my viewing sessions. Set an alarm five minutes before the end. Just to be safe. So I can find the spot back easier when Apple TV forgets.
But hey, at least it gives me something to complain about. And complaining is one of my favorite hobbies, let's be honest. It is my unpopular opinion on Apple TV.
Maybe I'll just stick to reading books. No pausing required. Unless I fall asleep, of course. Then I have a whole other problem.
But then, who will I complain to?
