7 Days To Die How To Build A House

So, you’ve spawned into the zombie apocalypse in 7 Days to Die. Congratulations, you’re alive! For now. The sun's dipping low, and those moaning, shuffling sweethearts are getting restless. Looks like it's time to build a house!
Forget architectural blueprints and permits. We're talking about survival here, people. First things first, punch a tree. Repeatedly. I suggest a small tree.
Keep punching! You need wood. Trust me on this. Wood is your new best friend.
Must Read
Day 1: The Humble Hut
Alright, you've got a pile of wood that would make a beaver jealous. Time to craft some wood frames. These are the basic building blocks. Think of them as zombie-resistant Legos.
Now, plop those frames down in a square, about 5x5 blocks. Congratulations, you've got a floorplan! Feel the excitement!
Stack more frames on top of the first layer. Keep going until you have walls that are two or three blocks high. You're basically building a box. Don’t worry about style points just yet. The zombies don't care about curb appeal.

One of those walls will need a gap in it, where you can get in and out. That will be your front door.
Day 2: Roof Over Your Head (Literally)
More wood frames! You are going to place these on top of your walls to make a roof.
If you want to get fancy, you can make a sloping roof, but frankly, in the early game, flat is fine. Zombies are less concerned about how elegant you are, and more on how delicious you look!

Fill in all the gaps with wood planks. Your box is now sealed. Except for that gaping hole where your door should be!
Day 3: Fortifying the Fortress
Time to address that door situation. Craft a wood door. It's not Fort Knox, but it's better than nothing. Just don't expect it to hold up against a horde of enraged zombies.
Reinforce the walls with more wood planks, or even better, cobblestone if you've managed to find a quarry. The more layers, the better. Think of it like zombie-proofing your house with layers of deliciousness. You want to make it hard to get to that delicious center!
Day 4: Home Sweet Zombie-Proof Home
Smash up some rocks to make a forge. This will let you melt down scrap metal into useful things.

You're probably starting to feel a little less vulnerable. Time to get fancy! Build a chest to store your loot. Craft a bedroll to set your spawn point. Place a campfire to cook some delicious zombie-free meals. Maybe. Probably.
Day 5: Defense, Defense, Defense!
The zombies are getting stronger. Time to build some defenses! Wood spikes around the perimeter of your base are a good start. They'll slow those hungry guys down.
Consider digging a ditch around your base. Just make sure you have a way to get across it! A simple drawbridge will do the trick.

Day 6: The Horde is Coming
The sixth day is when the horde shows up. You're going to want to be ready for this.
Make sure your walls are reinforced. Double check your defenses. Gather all your weapons and ammo. It's going to be a long night.
Day 7: Survive and Thrive
Hopefully, you survived the horde night! If you did, congratulations! Your humble abode withstood the test of the undead. Time to collect all that loot those zombies dropped!
Now, rinse and repeat! Keep upgrading your base, adding more defenses, and exploring the world. In the game 7 Days to Die, your house is more than just a building, it is your lifeline. Go forth and build, my friend!
