Ever heard someone say they're gonna do something? Sure you have. We all have. It's practically a national pastime.

Seriously, though. Someone promising to finally clean out the garage? Or definitely start that diet tomorrow? Cue the eye roll.

Words are like...well, like air. They're everywhere. And sometimes, they're just as empty.

We could have an entire Olympic games dedicated to "I'm gonna." Gold medal goes to the person who talks the biggest game, right?

But where are the actual games? The ones where people actually compete?

The truth is out there. You gone have to do more than just say it.

Think about it. Your friend bragging about becoming a marathon runner. But they're still rocking the couch potato look? Okay then.

"Actions speak louder than words." - Some wise person. Probably tired of empty promises.

Let's face it, we've all been guilty of this. That grand ambition that never quite... materialized.

Maybe it was learning Spanish. Or writing that novel. Or finally organizing that dreaded junk drawer.

It's not that we want to be cynical. It's just...history. We've heard it all before.

The guy who says he's totally over his ex. Yet, he's liking all her Instagram posts. Hmmm.

Or the "I'm going to be a millionaire by next year!" person. Who's also playing the lottery. Often.

Okay, maybe this is controversial. But I'm gonna say it anyway. Just showing up counts for something. A lot, actually.

Even if you're not amazing at something right away. The fact you're doing it? That's progress.

It's about effort and consistency. It is about more than just saying it.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Or, more accurately, wasn't talked into existence in a day.

It took bricks. And sweat. And probably a lot of arguing over construction permits. You know, doing stuff.

So, next time you hear someone make a bold claim? Don't just nod politely. Wait and see what happens.

And next time you make a promise? Maybe start with something small. Something you can actually, you know, do.

Because the world needs fewer talkers and more doers. Even if those doers are a little clumsy at first.

Ultimately, it is always the action more than the statement. It is better to see something done than hearing it said.
