Let's Pretend, Shall We?

So, for a hot minute, let's just pretend that Yona of the Dawn Season 2, Episode 1 did drop. Let’s just imagine the pure joy.

What would it be like? What would it need to have?

First off, can we all agree that the opening sequence needs to be EPIC? Like, K-pop levels of catchy, blended with traditional instrumentals. Just perfection.

My (Slightly Unhinged) Episode 1 Wishlist

We need more Hak screen time. That's not even a request, it's a fundamental human right. He has to be there, protecting Yona.

A little bit of playful banter between them wouldn't hurt, either. Maybe a scene where Yona tries to cook and it ends in utter disaster?

Seriously, give the man a break! The poor guy's carrying the entire emotional weight of the show, and all the actual physical weight too!

The Plot Thickens (Hopefully!)

Episode 1 has to re-establish the stakes. Who are the baddies now? What new threat looms on the horizon?

Maybe a rival kingdom causing trouble? Or perhaps some internal political strife within Kouka Kingdom? Either way, some good action.

Or, you know, maybe Yona accidentally stumbles upon some ancient prophecy she has to fulfill. Because why not?

The Dragon Warriors: More Than Just Pretty Faces

Speaking of prophecies, let's get some serious development for the dragon warriors. They are too important to be secondary to Yona.

I want to see Kija grapple with his loyalty and pride. Shin-Ah needs to open up even more. Show more about each of them!

And Jaeha? Come on, give the man a chance to actually be happy! Just a little bit, please!

Zeno, we still don't know his backstory! What is the deal with his immortality? Episode 1 needs to give us a hint!

Unpopular Opinion Incoming!

Okay, here it comes. Maybe, just maybe, I wouldn't mind a little bit of filler in Episode 1. I know, I know, heresy!

But hear me out! A short scene of the group just... relaxing. Sharing a meal, laughing, just being a family. Is that too much to ask for?

After all the angst and drama, a little bit of lightheartedness would be a welcome breather. It helps to make the characters seem more real.

The Cliffhanger... Oh, the Cliffhanger!

Of course, a hypothetical Yona of the Dawn Season 2, Episode 1 needs to end on a killer cliffhanger.

Something that leaves us desperately begging for more. Maybe a character we thought was dead makes a shocking return?

Or maybe Yona discovers a new, terrifying power she never knew she possessed? Anything that makes us lose our minds with anticipation.

Until then, we are left with fan fiction, head canons and hope, for the next season to become a reality.
