The fourth season perfectly captured the ending of the last novel. It felt…complete. Satisfying.
Why Mess With Perfection?
Sometimes, dragging something out ruins it. Remember that show you used to love? Yeah, the one that went on for like, ten seasons too long?
I'd hate to see My Brilliant Friend suffer that fate. Let's preserve its greatness!
The beauty of the story lies in the complex relationship between Lila and Lenù. We saw their lives unfold.
But…What About Their Kids? What About the Future?
I get it! We're curious! We want to know what happens next! What about Lila's son?
But isn't that part of the magic? Leaving some things to our imagination?
We can ponder their futures. We can write our own fan fiction! We can dream!
The Actors Are Getting Older, Too!
Let's face it. Playing young Lila and Lenù isn't something the original actresses can do forever.
Recasting? Risky business! It could completely change the dynamic we've all grown to love.
Sometimes it's better to leave the characters with the face we are used to.
A Spinoff? Maybe. But Proceed With Caution!
Okay, okay, I'll compromise. A spinoff focusing on a new generation in Naples? Possibly!
But only if it's done right! It needs that same gritty realism. The same emotional depth.
No cheesy storylines, please! We deserve better than that.
Ultimately, It's Up to the Creators.
Of course, the decision isn't up to me (sadly!). It's up to the brilliant minds behind the show.
Whatever they decide, I'll trust their judgment. They've earned it!
Even if My Brilliant Friend doesn't return, we always have the books and the existing seasons to rewatch and savor. And argue about!
