Will There Be A New Season Of Hunter X Hunter

Okay, let's talk Hunter x Hunter. Will we ever see a new season? It’s the question that haunts anime fans worldwide.
We’ve waited… and waited… and waited some more. Seriously, it feels like we're all stuck in a perpetual state of Zetsu.
The Manga's Mysterious Pace
The biggest culprit? Yoshihiro Togashi, the manga's creator. God bless him, but his health is clearly a concern.
Must Read
The manga goes on hiatus more often than I skip leg day. And that's saying something.
Every time new chapters drop, the fandom explodes. It's a glorious, fleeting moment of pure joy. Then… darkness.
Hope Springs Eternal?
So, is there any hope for a new anime season? Well, technically, yes.
Togashi-sensei is working (sporadically, but still!). He's even tweeted about it!

Each chapter gets us closer to enough content. Though, "closer" is a relative term here, like being "closer" to Pluto.
My Unpopular (Maybe) Opinion
Here's where things get spicy. I don’t really want a new season right now.
Hear me out! It's not because I dislike Hunter x Hunter. I love it!
But rushing things would be a disservice to the story. Nobody wants filler arcs and watered-down plots.
Think about the quality of the previous anime. It adapted the source material beautifully. It captured the spirit of the characters.

That's the standard we need to maintain. Half-baked adaptation will ruin it for the fans.
The Animation Question
Who would even animate it? Madhouse gave us a masterpiece. Can anyone else reach that level?
The fight scenes in the Chimera Ant arc were legendary. Finding a studio that can do them justice is crucial.
Imagine a poorly animated Hisoka. Shudders. The horror!

What Should Happen (My Wishlist)
Instead of rushing into a new season, I'd prefer this: Let Togashi finish a substantial chunk of the manga.
Like, really finish it. Not just a few chapters before another hiatus.
Then, find a studio that's passionate about the series. Give them the time and resources to do it right.
Think of it as a fine wine. It needs time to age and develop its full flavor. Let Hunter x Hunter "age" too!
The Waiting Game (Again)
Yes, I know. More waiting. But, isn’t the anticipation part of the fun?

We can re-watch the old episodes. Reread the manga. Theorize about Kurapika's vengeance plot.
The Hunter x Hunter universe is rich and deep. There’s plenty to keep us occupied.
Maybe, just maybe, a new season will be worth the wait. And that's a Nen ability I'm willing to bet on.
So, until then, keep your Nen active and your Hatsu ready! The future of Hunter x Hunter remains a mystery.
