Okay, let's talk about something juicy: more Steven Universe! Specifically, Steven Universe Future. Will there be a season 2? The internet's been buzzing.

I know, I know. It technically wrapped up. But hear me out!

The Case for More Steven

We love Steven, right? He's the little guy who always tries to do the right thing. Even when that "right thing" is super complicated and involves intergalactic politics.

Steven Universe Future showed us a different side. A Steven dealing with trauma and... well, being a bit of a mess. It was relatable!

Honestly, who hasn't felt lost after a big accomplishment? Like, you finally beat the ender dragon, and then you're like, "...now what?"

Unresolved Threads (aka Plot Hooks!)

Let's be real, some stuff felt... unresolved. What about the other corrupted gems? Was everyone really happy ever after?

And Steven just... leaves? To travel the world? That feels like setting up a new adventure if you ask me.

Maybe he runs into some more gem-related shenanigans! Or maybe he just helps people with their feelings. Either way, I'm in.

"I think Steven just needs a vacation," - Literally Everyone.

The (Slightly Annoying) Case Against

Okay, I get it. Creators need to move on. Rebecca Sugar poured her heart and soul into this series.

Maybe she wants to work on something new. Something totally different. And we should respect that, right?

But... but... what if she wanted to come back someday? Just a little mini-series? Pretty please?

There’s also the argument that Steven Universe Future was the perfect ending. Showing the consequences of Steven's choices, and his need to heal. A fitting end for Steven's character development.

My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)

Here it comes... I think they could do more without ruining anything. In fact, it could be even better!

Think about it: An adult Steven. Dealing with grown-up problems. Still trying to help everyone, but with a little more wisdom (hopefully!).

That’s a show I would watch. Repeatedly. And buy all the merchandise for.

Imagine: Steven navigating the complexities of human relationships. Or dealing with the existential dread of paying bills. Gems could help with bills, right?

So, Will It Happen?

Honestly? I have no idea. No one does, except maybe Rebecca Sugar and the Cartoon Network executives.

But a girl can dream, can't she? And write wishful-thinking articles about it, apparently.

Even if it never happens, we'll always have the original series and Future. And fanfiction. Lots and lots of fanfiction.

Let's just keep the dream alive! Maybe if we all wish hard enough, Steven Universe will grace our screens again.
