We were left hanging! Natsuo, the lovable (and slightly clueless) protagonist. Rui and Hina, the stepsisters he's entangled with. Drama, drama, and more drama.

Season 1 only covered a portion of the manga. This means there's plenty of source material. Enough for, dare I say, multiple seasons?

Hope Springs Eternal (Maybe)

Anime renewals are a mystery. They depend on popularity, sales, and studio decisions. Basically, it's a chaotic lottery.

But Domestic Girlfriend did have its fans! It stirred up a lot of feelings, positive and negative. People were definitely talking about it.

The manga sold well. Merch existed. The internet was filled with fan theories and passionate debates. Those are all good signs, right?
