Why Does My Amazon App Keep Switching To Spanish

¡Hola, Amazon! (Or… Wait, What?)
Is your Amazon app staging a covert linguistic takeover? Mine seems to be. One minute I'm browsing for cat toys, the next I'm deciphering product descriptions in Spanish.
It's like my phone has suddenly decided I'm fluent. Which, spoiler alert, I am not. Anyone else experiencing this Amazonian adventure?
The Case of the Confused Cart
It's always the same. I open the app, ready to impulse-buy something I definitely don't need. And then bam! Español.
Must Read
My carefully curated shopping cart is now a cesta de la compra. And I’m pretty sure those aren't the same things. Do they even have my cat toys?
I swear, I didn't accidentally enroll in a Duolingo immersion program. I just wanted to order a new spatula.
An Unpopular Opinion: The Amazon App Has a Mind of Its Own
Here's my totally-not-scientific theory: the Amazon app is sentient. And it's messing with me.

Maybe it thinks I need to broaden my horizons. Or maybe it's just tired of me buying so many weird things online. Either way, it's choosing chaos.
Look, I love a good language challenge. But not when I'm trying to buy discounted dish soap, okay, Amazon?
The Great Language Reset
So, what's a frustrated, semi-lingual shopper to do? The obvious answer is to dive into the settings. Hunt down the language option.

And switch it back to English. Again.
It's a constant battle, a digital guerra against an app that clearly has its own agenda. I’m starting to feel like I need a Rosetta Stone subscription just to navigate my online shopping.
A Call for Help (and Maybe a Translator)
Am I alone in this? Is my Amazon app the only one with a penchant for foreign languages?
Or is there a secret society of users battling the same digital dilemma? If you’re out there, let me know!

Maybe we can start a support group. Or at least a very passive-aggressive letter-writing campaign to Jeff Bezos about the multilingual mayhem.
The Lingering Question
I guess the bigger question is: Why Spanish? Did I accidentally click a button? Did I accidentally teach the app to read my mind and realize my secret desire to learn Spanish?
Perhaps. But honestly, I'm probably just going to blame the algorithm. It seems easier that way.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go reset my language preferences. Adiós… for now.
P.S. Amazon, if you're listening…
…please just stick to English. Unless you're offering a really good deal on paella. Then, maybe we can talk.
Or just add a "Don't Automatically Switch to Spanish" button to the settings. That would be great, thanks. I’m sure the millions of English speaking Amazon users will appreciate.
Until then, I’ll be here, battling the bilingual beast. Wish me luck! And send coffee (or maybe a Spanish phrasebook). It's going to be a long ride with my Amazon account.
