Why Do I Have To Keep Resetting My Vizio Tv

Okay, let's be honest. Does anyone else feel like they're in a committed relationship with the power button on their Vizio TV? I swear, it’s like we're on a first-name basis.
It's gotten to the point where I consider "unplug-replug" a legitimate remote control function. Seriously, I think it should be added into the next manual.
The Vizio Reset Ritual
The screen freezes. The spinning wheel mocks me. Then the ultimate decision must be made. Do I wait it out, hoping for a miracle? Or do I dive straight into the ritual of unplugging and plugging back in?
Must Read
I usually choose the latter. Frankly, I don’t have that much patience. I have shows to binge!
It's the 21st century version of sacrificing a goat to the TV gods. Only, you know, less messy, but maybe equally frustrating.
Is It Just Me?
I'm starting to wonder if my Vizio TV specifically dislikes me. Does it somehow sense my preference for streaming services? Or is it just a general aversion to my choice of snacks?

Maybe it judges my taste in reality television. I wouldn’t blame it, honestly. But still, work with me here.
I picture the Vizio engineers having a good laugh somewhere. They're probably saying, "Let's see how many times they have to reset it today!"
The Stages of Vizio Reset Grief
First comes denial. "It'll fix itself," I whisper. "Just give it a minute".
Then comes anger. (Loud, incoherent grumbling usually directed at the wall). It's usually follow by words that I wouldn't repeat in front of my mother.

Bargaining is next. "If you just work, I promise I'll clean behind the TV stand!"
Depression sinks in quickly. I start questioning all my life choices. Why did I buy this TV? Will I ever watch a show without interruption?
Is this my life now?
Finally, acceptance. I unplug the TV with a sigh of resignation. A faint smile appears. Time to reset the Vizio. Again.

The Unpopular Opinion
Here's my unpopular opinion: Maybe, just maybe, Vizio secretly enjoys this. What if it’s all a master plan to keep us engaged?
They get us performing this little dance of frustration and triumph. It's like a built-in feature, a daily dose of suspense.
It keeps us humble. We're at the mercy of the machine. Our entertainment hangs in the balance of a simple power cycle.
Maybe I'm giving them too much credit. Maybe it's just a glitchy system. But a part of me suspects something more… sinister.

Living with the Reset
Despite it all, I still (mostly) love my Vizio. When it's working, it's great. The picture is sharp. The apps are convenient.
And hey, at least I’m getting good exercise lunging for the power outlet all the time. It’s basically my new cardio.
So, to my Vizio: I salute you. Keep me on my toes. Just maybe, you know, chill out with the resets a little? Thanks.
But the next time I have to reset it during the climax of my show, I'm throwing the remote at it. Just kidding. (Mostly).
