Why Can't I Watch Yellowstone On Apple Tv
The Great Yellowstone Apple TV Conspiracy (Maybe?)
So, you're craving some Yellowstone. You fire up your Apple TV. Expecting to binge on drama, horses, and maybe a little romance. But... nothing. What gives?
You're not alone. Many of us have been betrayed. By our desire to watch Kevin Costner wrangle cattle. While simultaneously navigating the confusing world of streaming rights.
Why, Apple TV, Why?
Okay, I get it. Streaming is complicated. It's like trying to untangle a Christmas tree's lights after they've been in storage all year. Except with more lawyers.
Must Read
But still. We want our Dutton family fix. Is that too much to ask? We paid good money for this Apple TV device. I even bought the special remote with the Siri button!
Maybe Apple is secretly jealous of the Duttons' ranch. It's bigger than their headquarters. I mean, have you seen that place? They could fit, like, a million iPhones in the barn alone.

The Unpopular Opinion: It's All a Test
Here's my wild theory. And prepare yourselves, because it's a doozy. I think Apple is testing our patience.
They're seeing how badly we really want to watch Yellowstone. Are we willing to subscribe to yet ANOTHER streaming service? Will we actually buy seasons? Or will we just complain on the internet?
I suspect it’s a data-gathering mission. They are analyzing our viewing habits. Determining our breaking point. Before deciding whether to make a big offer for the show.

The Streaming Struggle is Real
Let's be honest, the streaming landscape is a mess. It's like a Wild West shootout. Except with content providers instead of cowboys.
Every network has its own service. Each with exclusive shows you absolutely must see. Or so they tell us. Before you know it, you're paying for 17 different subscriptions.
Is this the future? Are we doomed to endlessly subscribe and unsubscribe? Just to catch our favorite shows? I, for one, am starting to miss the days of cable. (Don't tell anyone I said that.)

Finding Yellowstone: A Quest
So, where can you watch Yellowstone? Prepare for a journey. It's a scavenger hunt with TV shows as the prize.
Generally, you'll find it on Peacock. Yes, another streaming service. But at least you can see Rip Wheeler smolder. That's worth something, right?
You can also buy episodes or seasons. Through services like Amazon Prime Video. Or even... dare I say it... Apple TV. (Just not through Apple's subscription service!)

My Humble Plea
Dear Apple (and all streaming services). Please, for the love of horses and Montana landscapes. Simplify things.
Give us one place to watch everything. Okay, maybe not everything. But at least Yellowstone. And maybe Ted Lasso in the same place? A person can dream.
Until then, I'll be over here. Trying to figure out which subscription I need this week. And probably muttering about streaming rights. And maybe bingeing something else entirely. But I still want my Yellowstone.
