Why Can't I Watch The Bachelorette On Hulu

Okay, let’s talk. Let's talk about my heartbreak. My weekly Tuesday night devastation. It's about The Bachelorette and my Hulu account.
Why, oh why, can't I just watch The Bachelorette on Hulu like a normal person? Is that too much to ask? I think not!
The Streaming Struggle is Real
I pay good money for my streaming services. I expect access to the shows I crave. And right now, I crave drama, roses, and awkward dates. You know, The Bachelorette.
Must Read
Instead, I'm stuck scrambling. Searching for less-than-legal streams. Trying to avoid spoilers like they're poisonous ivy. It’s stressful, people!
It feels like I'm living in the dark ages. I mean, come on! It is a modern world. We have self-driving cars, but I can't watch reality TV on demand?
My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves)
Here's where it gets controversial. I have a confession. Maybe… just maybe… The Bachelorette isn't all that great.

Okay, okay, hear me out! I know many people consider it a national treasure. A guilty pleasure. The pinnacle of entertainment.
But is it really that good? Are we all being duped by the sheer force of will of Chris Harrison (RIP) and the ABC marketing machine? I ponder.
The dates are always the same. The contestants all say the same things. The drama feels… manufactured. It is sometimes boring.

And yet, here I am. Yearning to watch it. Complaining that I can't access it easily. The hypocrisy is not lost on me.
I feel like a moth to a very sparkly, slightly dusty, and probably rigged flame. It's an addiction.
The Alternative Theories
So, why can’t I watch The Bachelorette on Hulu? I have a few theories. None of them are based on facts. All of them are born of frustration.

Maybe ABC hates me personally. It is a targeted campaign to ruin my Tuesdays. It seems reasonable.
Or maybe, just maybe, they are trying to make me pay for another streaming service. You know, the one that actually carries ABC content live. Money grab!
Perhaps the show is so popular that it would crash Hulu if everyone tried to watch it at once. This theory is the most far-fetched. But I am clinging to hope.

A Plea to the Streaming Gods
Dear Hulu (and ABC), I beg you. Please, just let me watch The Bachelorette on demand. I promise I will be a good subscriber. I will even watch ads!
Think of the possibilities. Think of the memes! Think of the Twitter threads! I promise, the internet will be grateful.
In the meantime, I will continue my search. Scouring the depths of the internet. Hoping to find a legal (or, ahem, semi-legal) way to watch. May the odds be ever in my favor. I'm desperate.
Or, maybe, just maybe, I'll use this as an opportunity. An opportunity to break free from the shackles of reality TV. An opportunity to read a book.
"Nah,"I said with zero hesitation.
