Why Can't I Download Paramount Plus On My Tv

Okay, let’s be honest. Does anyone else feel personally victimized by Paramount Plus? I mean, I just want to watch the new Star Trek series. Is that too much to ask?
The Streaming Struggle is Real
Apparently, it is. Because for some reason, Paramount Plus and my TV are in a constant state of digital warfare. It's like they're playing a never-ending game of app hide-and-seek.
You'd think in this day and age, downloading an app would be a piece of cake. Nope. Not when Paramount Plus is involved. It’s more like baking a cake from scratch… on Mars.
Must Read
The Compatibility Conundrum
First, there's the dreaded compatibility issue. Is my TV too old? Too new? Does it not like the color blue? The reasons are truly endless.
I swear, my TV is smarter than me half the time. It can access the internet, play games, and somehow knows exactly when I'm about to fall asleep. Yet, it can't seem to figure out how to download one simple app.
Maybe my TV is holding a grudge. I did replace it’s remote with a universal one. Never underestimate electronic vendettas!

The Store Search Shenanigans
Then comes the search. You type in “Paramount Plus” and… nothing. Or worse, you get a million random apps that think you might be interested in.
Like, no, I don’t want a “DIY Birdhouse” app. I want to watch Captain Pike! But thanks for the suggestion, I guess?
Scrolling through endless tiles of irrelevant apps? Sounds like my Saturday night. sigh

The Update Uncertainty
Oh, and let's not forget the constant need for updates. Is my TV updated? Is the app updated? Is the internet updated? It's an update-ception!
It's like living in a perpetual software beta test. Every time I think I've finally cracked the code, another update pops up to ruin my dreams of streaming glory.
And then you're stuck in a loop of restarting, reinstalling, and contemplating throwing your remote at the screen. I may or may not have done that once...

My Unpopular Opinion
Here’s my unpopular opinion: Streaming services should just work. I’m paying you money! The least you could do is make it easy to actually, you know, watch your content.
I’m not asking for the moon. I just want to binge-watch Picard without having to perform a full-blown tech support intervention. And why are there so many Plus services anyway?
Is that so wrong? Maybe I'm just old-fashioned. Maybe I should just go back to watching DVDs. At least they always work (unless they're scratched. Which, let's be real, they usually are).

The Solution (Maybe?)
So, what’s the solution? Well, honestly, I'm still trying to figure that out. Maybe it's a new TV. Maybe it's a streaming stick. Or maybe it's just accepting that my TV and Paramount Plus will never be friends.
Until then, I'll be over here, watching YouTube tutorials on how to download apps. Wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.
In the meantime, I’ll just stick to complaining about it online. Misery loves company, right? And maybe, just maybe, someone at Paramount Plus will hear our cries for help. One can dream.
Or maybe I'll just borrow my neighbor's account. Don't tell anyone!
