Think about it. Sal seems to draw the shortest straw in almost every episode. Maybe it's his reactions? Or perhaps he just has the worst luck!
Some might argue it's actually Murr, a.k.a. James Murray. He gets punished quite a bit too! And those punishments are often…intense.
But here's the thing. Murr embraces the weirdness. He's like, "Bring on the catsuit punishment, I'm ready!"
Sal, on the other hand, looks like he's about to faint half the time. It's hilarious, but also a little heartbreaking!

Why is Sal so often the victim? Several ideas come to mind. His reactions are priceless. He's visibly uncomfortable, which makes for great TV.

Maybe Sal secretly enjoys the punishments? Okay, probably not. But he's a good sport about it (usually).
