We know he's from a dimension where Earth exists. So, that narrows it down… slightly. But which Earth? That's the million-Schmeckle question!

The Obvious Answer (That's Probably Wrong)

The "obvious" answer? C-137. Our Morty's original Rick. Seems simple, right?

But is anything really simple with Rick? I doubt it. He's a walking paradox wrapped in a lab coat.

Plus, he jumps dimensions all the time. He could be saying C-137 just to mess with people. I wouldn't put it past him.

Okay, hear me out. This might sound crazy. What if Rick is actually from our Earth?

Think about it. He's constantly referencing pop culture. He's got a cynical outlook that feels oddly familiar.

Maybe he just built a portal gun and bounced to a reality where he could cause more… "controlled chaos." He wants to be God.

The "He's From a Future Earth" Idea

Alternatively, maybe he's from a future version of Earth? That's also plausible.

Perhaps something terrible happened on our Earth. Maybe resources got depleted or something. Rick escaped to different dimensions.

This could explain his nihilistic attitude. He's seen the worst the universe has to offer. He’s trying to avoid the fate he left behind.

The "Rick Prime's Earth" Possibility

Let’s throw another wrench in the gears. What about Rick Prime's original dimension?

We know Rick Prime is out there. He's a different kind of monster. A more calculated one.

Maybe our Rick escaped Rick Prime's reality. He's trying to protect other versions of himself and Morty from that terrible fate. He did kill untold number of Ricks after all.

My Unpopular Opinion: It Doesn't Matter!

Okay, brace yourselves. Here's my controversial take. It actually doesn't matter where Rick is from.

His origin is less important than his actions. He is a product of trauma, he is running, seeking family.

He chose to be with Morty. He’s trying (in his own twisted way) to be a good grandpa. That's what truly matters.

So, Where Is He From?

Honestly? We might never know for sure. And maybe that's the point.

Rick's past is shrouded in mystery. It’s part of what makes him so compelling.

So, instead of focusing on where he came from, let’s enjoy the ride. Let’s see where he goes next. Wubba Lubba Dub-Dub!
