Where Did My Hero Academia Anime Leave Off

Okay, fellow My Hero Academia fans, let's talk. Where did we last leave our favorite class of heroes? It's been a minute, hasn't it? Time flies when you're binge-watching anime and suddenly realize you need to adult.
Recap: A Quick Trip Down Memory Lane
Season 6 was... intense. Remember the Paranormal Liberation War? Yeah, things got real. Cities got wrecked, heroes were pushed to their limits, and Shigaraki showed everyone just how scary he could be.
Deku, our precious cinnamon roll, went through it. He unlocked even more of One For All's secrets and decided the safest place for everyone was... away from him. Cue the angst-ridden hero-in-training montage!
Must Read
And let's not forget All For One. That dude is like the Energizer Bunny of evil. He just keeps going and going. Is he ever gonna give it a rest?
Deku's Solo Act
So, Deku ditches UA. He became a vigilante, hunting down villains solo. It was all very Batman-esque, if Batman wore a green jumpsuit and cried a lot more. I mean, relatable, right?

His classmates, being the awesome friends they are, weren't having it. They chased after him, trying to convince him to come back. Because, duh, teamwork makes the dream work, even for superheroes.
There's a big fight! And the class almost loses everything but somehow convinces Deku that he needs to rely on his friends.
The War Rages On
The whole world is basically at war. Villains are running rampant. Society is crumbling faster than my New Year's resolutions. It’s kind of a downer, honestly.
UA High is still trying to be a safe haven. Even though it's been attacked like, a million times. You’d think they'd invest in some serious security upgrades. Seriously, a better security system would be great.
We've seen some major character development, though. Bakugo's... nicer? (Okay, maybe "less explosive" is more accurate). And everyone's generally more aware of the stakes.

Unpopular Opinion Time (Brace Yourselves!)
Okay, here's where I might lose some of you. I think the whole "Deku goes rogue" arc dragged on a bit. It felt like it stretched out longer than a One Piece episode description.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the emotional depth and all that jazz. But at some point, I was just yelling at my screen, "Just go back to school, Deku! Your friends miss you!"
And honestly, all the world ending battles gets old after awhile. How many times can we see everything nearly go to hell?
Is there a light at the end of this tunnel?

What's Next? (Guesses and Hopes)
So, where does that leave us? Well, the final battle is looming. It's gonna be Deku versus Shigaraki, good versus evil, broccoli hair versus... whatever Shigaraki's hair is doing these days.
I'm hoping for a satisfying conclusion. One that doesn't involve too much crying (from me, at least). And maybe, just maybe, a little bit of happiness for our heroes. They deserve it!
Here's to hoping Season 7 gives us the epic showdown we've all been waiting for. And maybe a few laughs along the way. Because honestly, we could all use a good laugh after all that.
