When Will Only Murders In The Building Season 2

Okay, let's be real. We're all still obsessed with Only Murders in the Building, right? Specifically, Season 2. It's been...a while.
The Great Season 2 Mystery
Remember how Season 1 ended? Total cliffhanger! We were left wondering WHODUNNIT. The anticipation for season two was high!
Then it came. And... look, here's where I might lose some of you. Season two...did anyone else feel like it just wasn't quite as good? Maybe it's just me.
Must Read
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Don't get me wrong. Still funny! Still charming! Selena Gomez's deadpan delivery slays as always. But the magic felt...slightly diluted, you know?
The mystery felt a tad convoluted, perhaps. The whole thing felt a bit forced. Like they were trying too hard to recapture the lightning in a bottle that was season one.
It was still entertaining. I will admit that. But I prefer season one!

The Bunny Folger Enigma
The central mystery of Season 2 revolved around Bunny Folger. Remember her? The building's cranky but secretly soft-hearted board president?
Her death kicked off a whole new round of podcasting hijinks for Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. More suspects emerged.
New alliances were formed. New secrets were unearthed. But honestly? Bunny herself never quite grabbed me the way Tim Kono (from season 1) did.

The Problem with More is More
Maybe that's where Season 2 faltered for me. There were too many suspects. Too many red herrings. Too many celebrity cameos (though Amy Schumer was hilarious).
It felt like they were throwing everything at the wall. Hoping something would stick. Season 1 felt more focused and personal.
Maybe I'm just a purist. Yearning for the simpler days of the podcasting trio. Back when the stakes felt lower and the laughs felt bigger.

The Meta-ness of it All
Season 2 also leaned hard into the meta aspect of the show. The characters were now celebrities in their own right.
They dealt with the consequences of their newfound fame. They faced scrutiny from fans (and haters!). This added another layer of complexity, for better or worse.
But maybe that self-awareness took away the original show's charm and simplicity.

Season 3 Hopes and Dreams
Still, I'm excited for Season 3. Of course I am! Even a slightly-less-amazing season of Only Murders in the Building is better than most shows on TV.
I'm hoping for a return to the core elements that made Season 1 so special. A compelling mystery. Genuine character development. And lots and lots of laughs.
Maybe a little less "look at us, we're famous!" And a little more "let's solve a murder in our quirky apartment building." Just my two cents.
So, Season 2: good, but not great. Prove me wrong, Season 3!
