We all know Demon Slayer Season 2 has been out for, like, ages. The Japanese version, anyway. But where's the love for us dub watchers? We deserve Tanjiro saying "Hinokami Kagura!" in a language we understand without squinting.

The wait feels like an eternity. Are we cursed by Muzan himself? Maybe we need to find a powerful swordsman to break this dubbed drought.

Crunchyroll, our beloved anime overlords, hold the key. They have the power to deliver the goods. Please, hear our cries! We just want some good old-fashioned demon slaying with perfectly lip-synced English.

I swear, every time I see a new anime announcement, I hold my breath. Is it the Demon Slayer dub? Nope. Just another isekai about a guy who gets reincarnated as a vending machine. (No offense to vending machine isekai enthusiasts).

Okay, prepare yourselves. Here comes a potentially controversial statement: I actually prefer the dub. There, I said it!

Subtitles are great and all, but sometimes I just want to relax. I don't want to have to choose between missing amazing animation or understanding what's going on. The dub lets me have both!

I know, I know. Some purists will say the original Japanese is superior. And to them, I say: "That's cool! You do you." I'll be over here, enjoying my perfectly voiced Zenitsu screaming about everything in English.

So, When, Really?

Sadly, I don't have a definitive answer. I'm just as clueless as you are. But here's what I do know:

We can keep pestering Crunchyroll on social media. A little (okay, maybe a lot) of collective nagging never hurt anyone. Right?

We can rewatch Season 1. Just to remind ourselves of the glory that awaits us. Plus, it's a good way to brush up on our demon-slaying knowledge.

The Dub Dream

Ultimately, we just want to enjoy Demon Slayer to the fullest. And for some of us, that means hearing it in English.
