When Is The New Season Of This Is Us

Okay, let's get real. We need to talk about This Is Us. Remember all those tears? All those family dinners?
The show that had us reaching for tissues every Tuesday night. The show that made us question our own family dynamics. Yep, that one.
So, When's the New Season?
Brace yourselves. This might sting a little. There isn't one!
Must Read
I know, I know. Let it sink in. Season six was the end. The final chapter of the Pearson family saga.
But Why?!
Honestly, probably because the writers ran out of decades to explore. They hopped around in time more than Marty McFly!
Maybe they figured it was better to end on a (mostly) high note than to keep dragging it out. You know, avoid that whole "jumped the shark" scenario. Smart move, maybe?

Or, and this is my unpopular opinion, maybe it's because Mandy Moore wanted to finally get a full night's sleep. Raising those kids and filming a TV show? Superwoman!
The Aftermath: What Are We Supposed to Do Now?
Right? Tuesdays just aren't the same. My couch misses the imprint of my tear-soaked face.
Do we just...move on? Find a new family drama to obsess over? It feels almost like cheating.

Some people have suggested re-watching the entire series. From the beginning. Relive all the joy and the heartache.
My Unpopular Opinion on Re-Watching
Here's where I might lose some of you. I don't think I can re-watch it.
Not yet, anyway. It's still too raw! All the feels, all the secrets, all the slow-cooker scenes.
Maybe in a few years. When I've forgotten (or repressed) all the plot twists. Then, maybe, I can handle another round of Jack Pearson being the perfect dad.

So, What's the Solution?
Well, there's no easy answer. We're all in this together. A support group for former This Is Us addicts.
We could try finding other shows created by the same people. Maybe there's a little bit of This Is Us DNA in them.
Or, and hear me out, we could all just start writing our own family dramas. Then we can cry over our own characters!

A Word of Advice: Embrace the Void
For now, I'm embracing the void. The This Is Us-shaped hole in my heart.
I'm filling it with comedies and reality TV. Anything to avoid another emotional breakdown on a Tuesday night.
And who knows, maybe someday Dan Fogelman will decide to give us a spin-off. This Is Them: The Next Generation. I'd watch it.
Until then, remember the good times. Remember the lessons. And remember that family is complicated, messy, and always worth fighting for. Even if it's just a fictional one.
But seriously, Mandy, get some rest!
