When Is Handmaids Tale Season 5 Coming Out

Okay, let's talk about The Handmaid's Tale. Specifically, season five. Are we ever going to get it?
I know, I know. We’ve been waiting for what feels like forever. Did it get lost in Gilead’s bureaucracy or something?
So, Where IS Season 5 Already?
Seriously, what’s the hold-up? We deserve answers (and maybe a stiff drink. Preferably not grape juice, thanks Aunt Lydia!).
Must Read
Technically, season five did come out! Back in 2022. But, if you're like me, the wait for something new feels like it's stretching on longer than June's list of enemies.
The Long, Arduous Wait…
Remember all the cliffhangers? The shocking betrayals? I swear, my blood pressure hasn't been the same since. This show is stressful!
It's like waiting for the next chapter of your favorite book. Except this book is a dystopian nightmare. A really compelling, beautifully shot, dystopian nightmare.

And speaking of nightmares, what about that ending of Season 5? Talk about leaving us hanging by a thread! I mean, come on!
Unpopular Opinion Time: Am I the Only One…
…who thinks The Handmaid's Tale might be running out of steam? Don’t @ me!
Hear me out. Gilead is terrifying, June is fierce. But maybe, just maybe, the story is starting to feel a little repetitive.

It’s the same pattern. June fights, June suffers, June gets close to freedom, June gets pulled back in. Rinse and repeat.
I still love the show, don't get me wrong! The acting is superb. But is it time to wrap things up before it jumps the shark?
Or Should We Just Let It Go?
Maybe Hulu is thinking the same thing. That could explain the wait, right? A strategic slow fade-out?
Perhaps they're holding back for a truly spectacular finale. I'm picturing a full-scale revolution. Think: sparkly Molotov cocktails and Aunt Lydia getting her comeuppance. We can dream, can't we?

But honestly, at this point, I’m almost ready to write my own ending. June rides off into the sunset on a unicorn. Boom. Done.
What About Season 6 Then?
The good news is, we ARE getting a season 6. It's going to be the final season. Phew!
Filming was delayed, sadly. But hang in there; we'll get to see how this ends.

We all hope that season six delivers. We expect a big, satisfying, and somewhat terrifying conclusion to this saga.
So, while we wait, let's rewatch old episodes, argue about Commander Waterford’s eyebrow game (is it menacing or just…bushy?), and collectively hope that the finale is worth the wait.
And maybe, just maybe, start a petition for a spin-off series about Emily Malek's life in Canada. Now that’s a show I’d watch.
In conclusion, the waiting game is real. But hey, at least we have each other… and a shared trauma over the horrors of Gilead.
