When Does The Next Episode Of The Great Come Out

Okay, let's be real. We're all thinking it. Where's the next season of The Great? Like, seriously, Hulu, what's the hold up?

I know, I know, good things take time. But I'm starting to feel like an extra in 18th-century Russia, just waiting… and waiting… for something exciting to happen. Except instead of court intrigue, I'm just refreshing my streaming service.

The Endless Wait: Theories and Musings

Is it the costumes? They're fabulous, I'll give you that. Maybe they're still hand-sewing every pearl onto Catherine's gowns. Respect, but hurry it up!

Perhaps Nicholas Hoult is busy being…well, Nicholas Hoult. You know, charming, talented, and probably starring in, like, five other things. Fair enough.

Or maybe, and this is my unpopular opinion, the writers are struggling to top the sheer brilliance of the first two seasons. It’s a high bar, guys!

My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)

Here it comes… deep breath. I actually think season two was…better. Yes, I said it! The power struggles! The awkward parenting! The sheer audacity of Catherine's ambition!

Don't get me wrong, season one was amazing. But season two had more layers. More complexity. More…Peter being utterly ridiculous.

So, if the writers are sweating over making season three even better, I understand. But also, please hurry. My historical-comedy-drama-shaped hole in my heart is growing.

Hulu, Are You Listening?

Look, I get it. TV production is complicated. There are schedules, budgets, and probably a whole lot of powdered wigs to manage. But still…

I need my fix of witty banter and historical inaccuracies. I crave the absurd situations and the surprisingly poignant moments. I NEED Catherine and Peter! (Even if their relationship is…well, you know.)

And let's be honest, who doesn't want to see more of Elle Fanning ruling (or at least attempting to rule) Russia with an iron fist and a killer wardrobe?

The Plea: Give Us Season Three!

So, Hulu, if you're reading this (and I sincerely hope you are), please, please, PLEASE give us an update. A release date? A trailer? Even just a cryptic tweet would be enough to satiate my desperate need for more The Great.

I'm not asking for much. Just a little bit of historical escapism to brighten my day. Is that really too much to ask?

Okay, maybe it is. But a girl can dream, right? And until then, I'll just be rewatching the first two seasons. Again. And again. And maybe writing some fan fiction. (Don't judge.)
