When Does The New Season Of Oak Island Start

Ah, Oak Island. That little speck of land in Nova Scotia that's captured the imaginations (and patience) of millions. Every year, we ask the same burning question.

When will the new season arrive? When will we see Rick and Marty back in action?

The Endless Wait: A National Pastime?

Let's be honest. Waiting for the new season of The Curse of Oak Island feels like a competitive sport. Are we ready? I bet we all are.

We're all checking the History Channel's website daily. We're scouring forums. We're even interrogating our cable providers. (Okay, maybe that's just me.)

Theories Abound (Like, Seriously, So Many Theories)

The internet is, of course, rife with theories. Some say it'll be November. Others swear by January. I might have dreamt that it's gonna be on next week...

And let's not forget the whisper campaigns. Secret filming locations, leaked footage, coded messages in Dave Blankenship's beard... it's all out there.

I'm pretty sure I saw a UFO near Oak Island on Google Earth the other day. Clearly, aliens are involved. Case closed.

My Unpopular Opinion (Prepare Yourselves!)

Here's where things get controversial. Brace yourselves.

Maybe... just maybe... the actual treasure doesn't matter so much anymore? I know, I know! Heresy!

Hear me out. It's the journey, right? The camaraderie. Gary Drayton yelling "Bobby dazzler!" like a modern-day Shakespeare.

The sheer absurdity of spending millions searching for something nobody can prove exists is kind of beautiful in its own way.

I mean, if they did find the treasure, what would we do? The show would be over! I feel like we are all in this together.

So, When DOES It Start?

The official answer? Your guess is as good as mine. The History Channel is keeping things tighter than Marty's budget.

But based on previous seasons, late fall seems a safe bet. So, start stocking up on snacks. And maybe a few bottles of antacid.

Because let's face it, we're all going to be stressed out watching them dig up another rusty nail.

In the Meantime...

While we wait, we can rewatch old episodes. We can argue about the Knights Templar. We can speculate about the true meaning of the swamp.

We can even try digging up our own backyards. (Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any angry neighbors or sinkholes.)

And, most importantly, we can keep the faith. Because one thing's for sure: the mystery of Oak Island will continue. Whether we want it to or not.
