When Does The New Season Of Handmaids Tale Come Out

Waiting for Gilead: Is It Ever Coming Back?
Okay, let's be real. We're all wondering the same thing: Where. Is. The Handmaid's Tale? The suspense is killing me!
I feel like I've aged approximately 47 years since the last season ended. Anyone else with me?
The Great Unknown
The truth is, there's no official premiere date for Season 6 yet. Sorry to burst your bubble. I know, it’s awful news!
Must Read
Hulu is keeping things tightly under wraps. They’re probably enjoying our collective anxiety.
But don't despair entirely! Production was, and may still be, impacted by the strikes. So, it is still uncertain whether it can meet previous projections.
Theories & Predictions (aka My Wishful Thinking)
So, when could it come back? Well, let's speculate wildly! I personally am thinking sometime in the later half of 2024. Possibly even 2025.
That's just a wild guess based on previous release patterns. Plus, my deep longing for more June Osborne.

Some fans think early 2025 is more realistic. They're probably right, the pessimists.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's where things get controversial. Brace yourselves! I think they should have ended it sooner.
Hear me out! The show is amazing, gripping, and terrifying. But after a while, it feels a little repetitive.
June escapes, June gets captured, June schemes, June gets revenge... Rinse and repeat. Do we really need another season of that cycle? Maybe it's time to let Gilead fade to black. It’s a hot take, I know.

The Final Season: What to Expect (Maybe?)
Assuming it does come back (and let's face it, it probably will), what can we expect? More drama, obviously.
More Elisabeth Moss being incredible. More chilling scenes that will keep you up at night.
We’re also likely to see some resolution for June. Will she ever truly be free? Will she ever be able to live a normal life? Those are the big questions.
Book vs. Show: Another Unpopular Opinion
Okay, another confession. I actually preferred the ending of the book. Fight me!

It was ambiguous and thought-provoking. The show sometimes feels like it needs to wrap everything up in a neat little bow. But in real life, things are messy!
I know, I know. People hated the book's ending. But I stand by it!
"Better a cruel truth than a comfortable delusion."
In the Meantime...
While we wait (and wait and wait), what can we do? Re-watch the old seasons, naturally!
Read the book again. Complain about the lack of updates on social media.

Mostly, just try to stay sane. Easier said than done, right?
Let’s just try to stay positive!
So, that's the state of The Handmaid's Tale. Or lack thereof.
Hopefully, Hulu will grace us with a premiere date soon. Until then, we'll be here, refreshing our browsers and dreaming of a Gilead-free world.
And maybe even writing some fan fiction where June finally gets to relax on a beach with a margarita. One can dream!
