When Does The New Law And Order Start

Okay, let's be honest. Are we really ready for more Law & Order? I mean, there are like, a million versions already. When does the new one actually start? And, more importantly, should we even care?
Finding the premiere date is like searching for a matching sock in the dryer. Impossible. You Google "New Law and Order" and get results from every decade. It’s all a jumble of detectives and DAs.
The Law & Order Paradox
Here’s my controversial take: Maybe we've hit peak Law & Order. Is it possible to have too much procedural drama? Don't throw tomatoes at me yet!
Must Read
Think about it. How many times can someone yell "Objection!" before it loses its punch? And how many different ways can a crime be committed in New York City?
Dun-Dun-Dun… or Done-Done-Done?
That iconic "dun-dun" sound used to fill me with anticipation. Now, it mostly just makes me hungry. I associate it with ordering takeout, not solving crimes. Am I the only one?

My unpopular opinion: the best Law & Order episodes are the ones you vaguely remember. The ones with the quirky guest stars and the ridiculous plot twists. Forget the nuanced character development.
Is This Even Worth It?
Seriously, are we desperate for more ripped-from-the-headlines stories? Aren't the actual headlines bad enough? Do we really need a dramatized version with slightly more attractive people?
I love Mariska Hargitay, don't get me wrong. She's a national treasure. But even Olivia Benson can't solve the problem of TV fatigue. She's got enough on her plate already.

My Bold Prediction
The new Law & Order will premiere. People will watch it. We'll all say, "Huh, that was... fine." Then we'll go back to re-watching the old ones.
It's a vicious cycle, people. We're trapped in a legal drama time loop.
“In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders."You know the rest.

The Quest Continues...
So, when does it start? I honestly still don't know. But hey, at least we had a good laugh (hopefully). Maybe I'll just stick to reruns of the original.
It has to start sometime, right? Until then, I am just going to sit here and ask myself, is this new series worth the trouble?
I'm placing all my bets on the Special Victims Unit, let's be honest. You all are too.
