When Does Season 2 Of Gentleman Jack Start

Okay, let's talk about Gentleman Jack. Specifically, Season 2. When did it start? And, more importantly, was it worth the wait?

I know, I know. Everyone loves Gentleman Jack. The costumes! The scenery! Suranne Jones' amazing eyebrow acting!

The Big Question: When Did It Actually Air?

Here's where things get a little tricky. In the UK, Season 2 of Gentleman Jack premiered in April 2022. But in the US? May 2022. See? Confusion reigns!

It’s like they were intentionally trying to torture us. Waiting a whole extra month? Unacceptable.

My Unpopular Opinion: The Build-Up Was Better Than The Season Itself.

Brace yourselves. I said it. The anticipation leading up to Season 2 was chef's kiss. The trailers! The interviews! The speculation!

It was a glorious frenzy. And maybe, just maybe, the actual season couldn't quite live up to the hype. Don't @ me.

Hear me out! The first season was a revelation. It felt fresh, bold, and utterly captivating. Season 2? It felt…familiar. Like re-reading a favorite book, but knowing all the plot twists.

Did I still enjoy seeing Anne Lister stride purposefully through Halifax? Absolutely! Did I still marvel at her witty repartee with Ann Walker? Of course!

Was Season 2 Bad? Absolutely Not!

Let's be clear. Season 2 of Gentleman Jack wasn't terrible. It just wasn't... groundbreaking. It was good. Solidly good.

But "good" isn't quite the same as "life-changing," is it? Maybe my expectations were too high. Probably.

I mean, the costumes were still fabulous. Yorkshire looked as stunning as ever. And Suranne Jones was, well, Suranne Jones. A force of nature.

Bring on more Lister!

Regardless of my slightly-controversial feelings, I'd still watch a Season 3 in a heartbeat. More Anne Lister is always a good thing.

And hey, maybe Season 3 will recapture that magic. Maybe it will be even better than Season 1. One can only hope!
