When Does Scarlet And Violet Come Out

Okay, Seriously, When IS This Game Coming Out?

Let's talk about Scarlet and Violet. Specifically, when it decided to grace us with its presence! Seems like forever ago we first heard about it.

The actual release date? November 18, 2022. I know, right? Old news.

But here's my unpopular opinion: it feels like it should be newer. Maybe because of all the glitches at launch?

Remember the performance issues? Oh, the memories! It was a wild ride of frame rate drops and disappearing NPCs.

Honestly, sometimes it felt like we were playing a super-early beta. Like, "thanks for paying us to test our game!" kind of vibe.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the gameplay underneath all the bugs. But it definitely aged the game faster.

Think about it. We've had DLC since then! The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk!

Expansions usually come way after the initial game's hype dies down. These DLCs brought a whole new wave of players (and bug fixes, thankfully!).

So, mentally, I lump Scarlet and Violet in with the more recent Pokémon releases. It just feels fresher than a nearly two-year-old game.

Let's be real, Game Freak has been pretty good about updates. They've squashed bugs and added features.

These updates mean the game is constantly evolving. It's not the same Scarlet and Violet we got on day one.

That continuous improvement makes it feel more current. It tricks my brain, I swear!

Okay, objectively, Scarlet and Violet is not new. The calendar doesn't lie.

But subjectively? In my heart? It's still pretty recent. Especially compared to, say, Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Maybe it's because I'm still discovering new things. Or maybe it's the shared trauma of the early glitches. Whatever it is, it works.

Anyone else feel this way? Or am I just living in denial about the passage of time?

So, while we're on the subject of time... when's the next Pokémon game coming out?!

That's the real question, isn't it? The hype train never stops!

I'm already bracing myself for more release date speculation and inevitable day-one glitches. Because that's just how we roll.

But hey, at least we'll have something new to complain about then!
