What We Do In The Shadows Series Finale

Okay, picture this: you’re living with a bunch of vampires. Not the sparkly, brooding kind, but the hilariously incompetent, stuck-in-their-ways kind. That's basically the premise of What We Do in the Shadows, and its series finale just wrapped things up in the most wonderfully weird way possible.
A Staten Island Saga Concludes
After six seasons of chaos and coffin naps, the vampire roommates of Staten Island finally faced… well, themselves, mostly. The finale wasn't about saving the world, but about saving their oddball family unit.
Nandor's Quest for Love (Again!)
First up, we have Nandor the Relentless, still searching for that perfect someone. His track record with wives is… less than stellar. This time, he’s decided to “un-wish” all his previous wives using his djinn, which of course goes hilariously wrong and ends up with him marrying all of them again!
Must Read
Laszlo steps in, and gives the best man speech ever. Ultimately, Nandor and Guillermo do get married after all.
Nadja's Artistic Vision (Sort Of)
Then there's Nadja, the ambitious and glamorous vampire. She pours her heart into her vampire nightclub, only for it to face…well, the usual vampire club problems. Think: unexpected fires and clientele that occasionally explode.

Even with everything that happens with the club, she's still the queen of Staten Island.
Laszlo's Endearing Obsessions
Ah, Laszlo, the eccentric scientist and eternal horndog. He spends most of his time tinkering with bizarre experiments and providing surprisingly sound (albeit morally questionable) advice. In the finale, he continues to be Laszlo, bless his heart, being weird for all of us.

Colin Robinson: Still an Energy Vampire
Let's not forget Colin Robinson, the energy vampire who feeds on boredom. His power makes him the most terrifying of the housemates. He is the silent watcher, and will always be there to steal our energy.
Guillermo's Transformation (Finally!)
But the heart of the show has always been Guillermo, Nandor’s long-suffering familiar. He's the guy who cleans up the messes, dusts the coffins, and secretly dreams of becoming a vampire himself.
Guillermo finally becomes a vampire, but not in the way he imagined. The transformation is rushed and incomplete, leaving him somewhere between human and vampire. He ends up leaving the group.

The Heart of the Shadows
Despite the supernatural shenanigans, What We Do in the Shadows is really about family. It's about finding connection in the most unlikely of places, even if those places are a creepy mansion filled with creatures of the night.
The finale emphasized the importance of these unconventional bonds. These vampires, despite their flaws and constant bickering, genuinely care for each other.

A Bittersweet Ending
The series ends with the vampires scattered, each pursuing their own paths. It's a bittersweet but satisfying conclusion, reminding us that even immortal beings need to grow and change.
The show's humor stemmed from the mundane struggles of these ancient beings adapting to modern life. It was their reactions to everyday problems, amplified by their supernatural nature, that made the show so funny.
So, while the sun may have set on the Staten Island vampires, their legacy of laughter and lovable weirdness will live on in our hearts (and maybe in a dusty old coffin somewhere).
