What We Do In The Shadows Season Four

Shadows Season Four: Was It Just Me?
Okay, fellow What We Do in the Shadows fans, let's talk. Specifically, let's talk about Season Four. Did anyone else feel… different about it?
I'm not saying it was bad, not at all. It's still ridiculously funny. But something felt a little off.
The Baby Colin Robinson Situation
The whole Baby Colin Robinson storyline was… a choice. I get it, comedy gold. But did it drag on a bit too long?
Must Read
Watching him grow (and learn about accounting!) was amusing. Though, I missed the original, depressing energy vampire. He was so good at sucking the joy out of everything!
Maybe I'm just nostalgic for the old Colin Robinson. The one who bored people to death at office parties. I'll admit, the tap dancing was pretty great, though.
Nandor's Endless Quest for Love
Nandor's desperate search for a wife was... something. All those potential brides! And the drama!

I felt bad for him, honestly. Poor guy just wanted to find his soulmate. But the whole thing felt a tad repetitive, you know?
Maybe I'm just rooting for Nandor to be single and fabulous forever. Is that so wrong?
Nadja's Vampire Nightclub
Okay, Nadja's vampire nightclub was a fantastic idea. Pure genius! I’d totally go there if it were real. (Assuming I could get past the bouncer, of course.)

But did the nightclub stuff feel a bit… separate? Like its own little side plot detached from the main house shenanigans.
I wanted more chaotic vampire energy spilling out of that club! More awkward encounters between the housemates and the clientele. The potential was immense!
Guillermo's Power Struggle
Let’s not forget about Guillermo. Our favorite familiar finally stepping into his power!
His protective streak is admirable. It’s good he finally stood up for himself.

But was I the only one who felt like his storyline got a bit sidelined? I need more Guillermo kicking vampire butt! The finale was a great set up, but still.
Is it Just Me?
Don't get me wrong, I laughed. I cringed. I yelled at my TV screen (mostly at Nandor). It was still What We Do in the Shadows.
But something about Season Four felt… less focused? More like a series of funny vignettes than a cohesive narrative.

Maybe my expectations were too high. Or maybe the show is just evolving. And maybe I'm just being a grumpy vampire stuck in his ways.
I'll still be tuning in for Season Five, obviously. I'm hoping for more of the good stuff. More witty banter. More awkward situations. More Laszlo being delightfully inappropriate.
And maybe, just maybe, a little less baby Colin Robinson. Just a tiny bit less.
So, what did you think? Agree? Disagree? Let me know! Maybe we can all complain together. Or celebrate the genius of the show. Either way, let’s talk about it.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch Season One again. For research purposes, of course. You know, to refresh my memory of peak vampire hilarity.
