What We Do In The Shadows Season 4 Episode 1

Guess Who's Back (and Weird-er Than Ever!)
Okay, folks, What We Do in the Shadows is back! Season 4 kicked off with a bang. And by "bang," I mean a bizarre, hilarious, totally-out-there bang. Forget everything you thought you knew. It's all gone to hell (in a good way!).
Episode 1 dives right in. No slow build-up here! We're immediately confronted with the fallout from last season's craziness.
What's the Deal with Baby Colin Robinson?
Remember Colin Robinson, the energy vampire? Well, he's... different now. He's a baby! Yes, you read that right. A rapidly growing, creepy, baby version of the world's most boring vampire.
Must Read
Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja are back from their travels. They find their Staten Island home in disarray. Laszlo dedicates himself to raising Baby Colin. Think "Three Men and a Baby," but with fangs and existential dread.
Watching Laszlo try to nurture this weird little creature is comedic gold. He's completely out of his depth. And the baby’s antics are disturbing and funny at the same time.
It is very funny to watch him read stories to the baby. Very sweet, and very wrong!

Nadja's Nightclub Dream
Nadja is ready to fulfill her lifelong ambition. She wants to open a vampire nightclub! She sees dollar signs, even though things get very hard.
The Guide, hilarious as ever, is around and assisting. But will Nadja truly succeed in building her dream club?
Her ambition and determination are great. Seeing it all play out is great fun.

Nandor's Quest for Love (Again!)
Nandor the Relentless is still on the hunt for a wife. His methods are...questionable. He's using Djinn wishes, which inevitably go wrong.
His desperation is both pathetic and hilarious. You can't help but root for him, even when he's making terrible decisions.
"I wish my wife were exactly what I wanted."
This Djinn wish, as one may imagine, goes terribly wrong.

Why You Should Watch It
The show is special because it doesn't take itself seriously. It embraces the absurd. The characters are lovable despite their flaws (or maybe because of them!).
The humor is sharp, witty, and consistently surprising. Every episode is packed with quotable lines and memorable moments.
This episode is a great start. The jokes come in rapid fire. The situations are ridiculous. The performances are top-notch.

The dynamics between the characters are what make the show shine. The actors have great comedic timing.
The show also uses the mockumentary format to its advantage. It brings you in to the joke.
So, if you're looking for a laugh, check out What We Do in the Shadows. Season 4, Episode 1 is the perfect place to start (or jump back in!). You won't be disappointed. Get ready for some seriously weird, seriously funny vampire shenanigans!
Trust me, you'll be hooked.
