What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 Soundtrack

Okay, let's talk about something important. Season 3 of What We Do In The Shadows. And more specifically, the soundtrack.
I have some thoughts. And maybe a slightly controversial opinion. Buckle up!
Did We Even Notice the Music?
Let's be honest. Were we all too busy laughing at Laszlo's antics? Or maybe captivated by Nandor's existential dread?
Must Read
I know I was. The music was… there. But did it exactly stand out?
That’s not to say it was bad. Just…subtle. Like Guillermo trying to blend in at a vampire orgy.
A Symphony of… Background Noise?
Think about it. Can you hum a single, recognizable tune from Season 3? I’m struggling. And I consider myself a music aficionado (or at least, someone who owns a Spotify account).
Sure, there were moments. A dramatic sting here. An ironic needle drop there.

But nothing that truly grabbed you by the throat like Nadja at a council meeting.
Perhaps the music was intentionally understated. That’s one theory. To let the humor shine through.
But I miss a soundtrack that's a character in itself. You know, like in Goodfellas? Or even Twilight (don't judge).
My (Possibly) Unpopular Opinion
Here it comes. My confession. I think the Season 3 soundtrack was...underwhelming.

Gasp! I said it. I know, I know. Blasphemy.
But hear me out. The show is brilliant. The writing is sharp. The performances are legendary.
The music...just didn't quite live up. It didn't fully embrace the show's weirdness.
Room for Improvement (Maybe?)
Imagine the possibilities! Creepy harpsichords during Colin Robinson's energy-sucking rampages.
A Balkan folk song when Nandor is pining for a lost love.

Epic metal riffs when Guillermo unleashes his vampire-slaying skills. The soundtrack should reflect those characters.
I'm not asking for a full-blown musical episode (although... actually, that would be amazing). I just crave a little more oomph. A little more…bite.
Maybe season four delivered? (I have to admit, I haven't seen that yet.) Let me know in the comments!
Ultimately, It's All Good (Mostly)
Look, I love What We Do In The Shadows. Even with its forgettable (in my opinion) Season 3 music.

The jokes land. The characters are iconic. And the story is consistently hilarious.
Maybe the creators just wanted to keep the focus on the comedy. Which is fair. Who am I to argue?
But next time, please consider turning up the volume. Let the music join the party. Maybe some original tracks?
Let's give Nadja Doll a proper theme song. She deserves it.
In the meantime, I'll keep re-watching the episodes. And maybe humming a little something... completely unrelated to the show's soundtrack. Don't tell anyone!
