What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 Premiere

Okay, people, let's talk about the What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 premiere! It was like getting a warm, vampire-y hug after a long, boring week of not being immortal.
Remember that feeling when you finally find your favorite comfy pants after searching everywhere? That's how this premiere felt.
New Season, Same Hilarious Mess
We're thrown right back into the chaotic lives of our favorite Staten Island vampires: Nandor, Nadja, Laszlo, and of course, energy vampire extraordinaire, Colin Robinson.
Must Read
They're still trying (and hilariously failing) to navigate the modern world, with Guillermo, the eternally put-upon familiar, desperately trying to keep them from, you know, accidentally exposing the vampire world to the local PTA.
I swear, Guillermo deserves a medal. Or at least a lifetime supply of garlic-resistant gloves.
From Roommates to Leaders? Oh Boy!
The big twist? After accidentally (and spectacularly) killing the entire Vampiric Council, our gang finds themselves unexpectedly promoted!

Suddenly, they're in charge of the local vampire community. Imagine your most dysfunctional family being put in charge of, say, the entire city's sanitation department. It's that level of potential disaster.
Nandor, bless his heart, tries his best, but his leadership skills are…well, let's just say they involve a lot of shouting and a concerning amount of glitter.
Nadja's Ambitions and Laszlo's...Priorities
Nadja, ever the ambitious one, sees this as her chance to finally claw her way to the top of the undead social ladder. Good for her!

Meanwhile, Laszlo is mostly concerned with his collection of vintage pornography and finding new and creative ways to annoy everyone around him.
He is truly a man of the people. (A very, very old and lecherous people.)
Colin Robinson: The Unsung Hero (Maybe?)
And then there's Colin Robinson, who continues to drain the life force out of everyone with his incredibly boring anecdotes.
Surprisingly, he might actually be useful in their new leadership role! Maybe endless stories about accounting practices can be used to bore rival vampires into submission? Who knows!

Guillermo: The Real MVP
Seriously, though, Guillermo deserves all the praise. He's the only one who seems to have any idea what's going on, and he constantly saves the vampires from their own stupidity.
Plus, he's secretly a vampire slayer! Talk about a double life. I'm pretty sure his dry cleaning bill is astronomical.
I'm personally invested in Guillermo finally getting the recognition (and maybe some fangs!) that he deserves.

Why You Need to Watch It (If You Aren't Already)
The Season 3 premiere of What We Do In The Shadows is pure comedic gold. It's witty, absurd, and just plain fun.
If you need a good laugh and a break from the horrors of reality, this is the show for you.
So grab some (animal-free) snacks, dim the lights, and prepare to be entertained. Just don't be surprised if you find yourself craving a little bit of that vampire life. (Minus the whole "drinking blood" part, of course).
I have a feeling that this season will be legendary!
