What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 Episode 4

"The Casino" - Oh, What a Night!
Okay, folks, let's dive headfirst into the pure comedic gold that was What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 Episode 4, "The Casino"! This episode was a rollercoaster of ridiculousness, proving once again why this show is a modern masterpiece.
Nandor's Midlife (Undead) Crisis
Poor Nandor! He's feeling a bit blah, a little…unfulfilled. Turns out, even ancient vampires get the blues, but instead of buying a sports car, he's contemplating a life of human normalcy.
He even considered becoming a regular "guy" who works at Duane Reade! Can you imagine Nandor The Relentless stocking shelves? The image alone is priceless.
Must Read
To help Nandor snap out of it, the gang decides on a trip to Atlantic City! Because nothing screams "ancient vampire rejuvenation" like slot machines and questionable buffets.
Laszlo's Big Score (and Not So Big Loss)
Laszlo, ever the suave and sophisticated one (sort of), is convinced he can beat the casino. He's got a system, see, a foolproof strategy. We all know how those usually pan out.
Predictably, his system involves a lot of bravado and not a lot of actual winning. He does get a little lucky at first!

He quickly loses it all, but Laszlo's reaction is pure comedic genius. It's not about the money, it's about the… experience? Sure, Laszlo, sure.
Nadja's Siren Song (of Complaining)
Nadja, bless her heart, is just there to complain. About everything. The slots, the people, the sheer audacity of the casino existing! It's peak Nadja, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
She tries to get some action using her siren song. Too bad, it only attract a crowd of sad, middle-aged gamblers.

At least she is never boring. She and Laszlo make such a great, dysfunctional couple.
Guillermo's Glamorous Gamble
Meanwhile, Guillermo, secretly a vampire slayer extraordinaire, gets a surprising dose of casino glamor. He gets mistaken for a high roller. He really does look like he belongs.
Suddenly, he’s enjoying VIP treatment, fancy drinks, and the adoration of casino staff. It’s a far cry from his usual duties of cleaning up vampire messes, and he's kind of loving it.
But, our slayer will not remain for long. It's a funny reversal of fortune. He probably preferred being overlooked anyway.

Colin Robinson's Energizing Trip
And then there's Colin Robinson, the energy vampire. Now, you might think a casino, a place brimming with drained and despondent people, would be paradise for him. And you'd be right!
He's in his element, feeding off the boredom and despair like a kid in a candy store. The only downside? He gets a little too energized. Imagine Colin Robinson hopped up on casino vibes… chaos ensues!
The pure joy on his face is strangely unsettling. Just imagine, Colin Robinson, after having a full meal in the casino!

Why We Loved It
This episode was fantastic because it took these already hilarious characters and threw them into a setting ripe for absurdity. The writing was sharp, the performances were stellar, and the situations were just plain ridiculous.
Each character got their moment to shine (or, you know, miserably fail at gambling). The interactions between them were as funny as ever.
It's a reminder that What We Do In The Shadows consistently delivers clever, laugh-out-loud comedy. It is not just about vampires, it's about family and the everyday struggles of being a weirdo, even when you're immortal.
If you need a good laugh, go back and watch "The Casino." You won't regret it! It's a guaranteed good time.
