What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 2021

Remember that group of vampires living in Staten Island, just trying to get by? Well, Season 3 of What We Do In The Shadows throws them into total chaos, and it's hilarious.
Unexpected Leadership
So, Guillermo, the long-suffering familiar, totally wiped out a whole bunch of vampires. Like, a lot of vampires. This makes Nandor, Nadja, and Laszlo the new leaders of the local vampire council. Oops!
Imagine suddenly being in charge when all you really want is to brood dramatically or chase squirrels. The dynamic is pure gold.
Must Read
They are completely ill-equipped and the vampires they must manage are absolutely absurd.
Nandor's Quest for Love (and Meaning)
Our favorite ancient warrior, Nandor the Relentless, is having an existential crisis. He's been undead for centuries and is feeling… blah.
He desperately seeks a wife and goes through numerous methods including dating apps and hypnotism, with predictably disastrous results.
It's surprisingly sweet and sad watching him fumble through modern romance with zero self-awareness.

The Wellness Centre
One of the funniest storylines involves Nandor getting super into a wellness center. Think goat yoga and motivational seminars led by a suspiciously guru-like human.
The whole thing is a send-up of self-help culture, but with a vampire twist. It's so ridiculously absurd.
Nadja's Ambitions
Nadja, ever the businesswoman, dives headfirst into her council duties. She has big ideas and is ready to shake things up.
Of course, her definition of "shaking things up" usually involves power grabs and lots of yelling. It's very on brand.

And her interactions with the other members of the Vampire Council are some of the best scenes in the entire season.
Laszlo Being Laszlo
Laszlo, our resident horndog vampire, mostly just wants to have fun and avoid responsibility. But even he gets swept up in the chaos.
He becomes surprisingly invested in a very specific personal project. Prepare for one of the most unexpected and strangely heartwarming reveals in the whole series.
His bizarre journey is what makes this season so unique.

Guillermo's Growth
Guillermo finally starts to come into his own. No longer just the put-upon familiar, he becomes a formidable vampire hunter and bodyguard.
His powers are revealed and developed more in this season.
The dynamic between him and Nandor continues to be the heart of the show.
The Humor
At its core, What We Do In The Shadows is just incredibly funny. The jokes are quick, witty, and often completely absurd.

Season 3 keeps the laughs coming with its blend of physical comedy, sharp dialogue, and perfectly timed awkwardness.
Even the smallest details, like the vampires' terrible fashion sense or their inability to understand human customs, are hilarious.
Heartwarming Moments? Really?
Believe it or not, Season 3 actually has some genuinely touching moments. Amidst all the vampire shenanigans, there are glimpses of friendship, loyalty, and even love.
These vampires, despite their flaws, do care about each other (sort of). It’s a weird, dysfunctional family dynamic, but it works.
And honestly, who doesn't love a story about finding your place in the world, even if you're a centuries-old bloodsucker?
