What We Do In The Shadows Season 2 Episode 8

"Collaboration" - A Hilarious Mess, Er, Masterpiece!
Oh my garlic knots, let's talk about Season 2 Episode 8 of What We Do In The Shadows, "Collaboration." Seriously, if you need a good laugh, this episode is your personal sunshine delivery system.
The premise? Simple: Nadja and Laszlo decide to turn their home into an AirBnB. You know, to "experience" entrepreneurship. Because cleaning up after blood-sucking roommates clearly wasn't enough of a challenge.
Vampire B&B: High Hopes, Low Standards
Their first guests? A couple of totally normal, definitely-not-suspicious tourists. You know, the kind who are thrilled to sleep in a coffin and ask if the cobwebs are "authentic."
Must Read
The vampires' attempts at hospitality are, shall we say, "unique." Laszlo tries to entertain them with his "piano stylings," which sound suspiciously like a cat fight in a garbage disposal.
And Nadja? Well, she mostly just glares at them and judges their life choices. Standard Nadja operating procedure, really.

Meanwhile, Nandor is trying to "collaborate" with Guillermo on… well, he doesn't really know. He just wants to be a "visionary." Think a toddler trying to build a skyscraper out of LEGOs, but with more yelling and dramatic posing.
Guillermo, ever the patient familiar, is trying his best to manage Nandor's chaotic energy. Honestly, Guillermo deserves a medal the size of his head for putting up with that.
Colin Robinson, Energy Vampire Extraordinaire
But the real star of this episode? Our beloved energy vampire, Colin Robinson. He's decided to become a "social media influencer." Prepare yourselves.

Imagine watching paint dry...but on your phone. That's essentially Colin Robinson's social media presence. He films himself doing the most mundane things imaginable, like stapling papers or reading tax forms.
And somehow, people are watching! We're led to believe it's due to Colin Robinson's vampire powers, that allow him to drain energy digitally.

A Clumsy Solution
The AirBnB plot hilariously implodes when the tourists discover a hidden room filled with vampire paraphernalia. Laszlo and Nadja try to memory-wipe them, but things, of course, go sideways.
Nandor manages to save the day with a "hypnotic command," which is basically him yelling random words until the tourists are sufficiently confused. Effective? Surprisingly. Elegant? Absolutely not.
Why We Love It
"Collaboration" is What We Do In The Shadows at its finest: a beautiful blend of absurd situations, lovable characters, and perfectly timed jokes. It's the kind of episode you can watch over and over again and still find something new to laugh at.

The episode perfectly captures the characters' quirks and personalities. Nadja is still snarky, Laszlo is still ridiculous, Nandor is still delusional, Guillermo is still long-suffering, and Colin Robinson is still...well, Colin Robinson.
If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and dive into the chaotic, hilarious world of "Collaboration." You won't regret it (unless you're a vampire, in which case, maybe skip the sunlight exposure).
It’s simply a brilliant reminder of why this show is pure comedic gold.
