What We Do In The Shadows Season 2 Episode 7

Okay, friends, gather 'round! Let's talk about the absolute gem that is Season 2, Episode 7 of What We Do In The Shadows. It's called "The Return," and believe me, it lives up to its dramatic name.
The Baron is Back! (Again!)
Remember the Baron Afanas? The ancient, wrinkly vampire who demanded world domination from our Staten Island gang? Well, he's back. And not in a cool, "I've been plotting my revenge" kind of way. More like a "I've been glued back together with household adhesive" kind of way.
Nadja and Laszlo, bless their undead hearts, are convinced they can keep the Baron happy this time. They envision a sophisticated evening of fine wine and… well, probably more fine wine. What could possibly go wrong?
Must Read
The Quest for the Perfect Virgin
To appease the Baron's refined palate (or lack thereof), Nadja and Laszlo embark on a truly epic quest. A quest for a…virgin. Yes, you read that right.
They think a virgin’s blood will keep the Baron happy and quiet. It's all very old-school vampire etiquette, you see. And finding one in Staten Island is harder than finding a decent parking spot on garbage day.

Their attempts are utterly, hilariously disastrous. Think of it like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but the haystack is a room full of awkward singles night attendees. Good luck with that!
Colin Robinson's Energy Vampire Antics
Meanwhile, our favorite energy vampire, Colin Robinson, is busy sucking the life out of... well, everyone. But this time, he's doing it in a particularly relatable way: by being the most annoying office worker ever.

He drones on about spreadsheets, microwave etiquette, and the joys of company potlucks. We've all been there, right? Trapped in a conversation with someone who could bore a rock to sleep.
It’s a beautiful and horrifying thing to behold. His scenes are a masterclass in comedic timing and quiet desperation. Poor office workers!

Nandor's Unwavering… Something
And then there's Nandor the Relentless. Still hopelessly devoted to becoming a fearsome leader. Still hopelessly failing at it.
He mostly just hovers around, trying to be helpful and ending up making things worse. Think of a puppy trying to "help" you bake a cake. Cute, but ultimately a recipe for disaster. He adds some truly bizarre moments, including the offering of a very suspect "energy drink" to the Baron.

His naiveté is so endearing, even when he's inadvertently ruining everything. You just want to pat him on the head and tell him it'll all be okay (even though it probably won't).
The Virgin Problem Solved? (Sort Of)
So, do they find a virgin for the Baron? Well, let's just say the solution is both unexpected and perfectly in line with the show's brand of chaotic comedy. It involves a LARPing convention, a lot of glitter, and a truly bizarre misunderstanding.
The ending is a total mess, as expected. But that's what we love about What We Do In The Shadows, right? It's the glorious, hilarious train wreck that you just can't look away from. So, If you need a laugh, definitely revisit “The Return.” You won’t regret it!
