What We Do In The Shadows Season 1 Cast

Meet the Hilarious Vampires of Staten Island!
Ever wonder what vampires do when they're not, you know, sucking blood? Well, What We Do In The Shadows gives you the answer! This show is laugh-out-loud funny. And season one? It's pure gold.
Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak)
First up, we have Nandor. He's the self-proclaimed leader of the group. But he's not exactly the sharpest stake in the box.
He tries so hard to be intimidating. But his attempts usually end in hilarious failure. Think conqueror... who can't conquer his own apartment.
Must Read
Nadja (Natasia Demetriou)
Then there’s Nadja. She's a powerful Romani vampire with a fiery temper.
Nadja doesn't take any nonsense from anyone. She's often seen bickering with her husband, Laszlo. But deep down, they're totally in love...in a vampire way.
Laszlo Cravensworth (Matt Berry)
Speaking of Laszlo! Oh, Laszlo. He's a charming, eccentric, and ridiculously horny vampire.

He loves art, sex, and screaming obscenities. His catchphrases are legendary. Matt Berry delivers every line with perfect comedic timing.
Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch)
Now, for something completely different: Colin Robinson. He's an energy vampire.
Instead of blood, he sucks the energy out of people by being incredibly boring. He's the ultimate office drone, but with fangs. Seriously, he's oddly captivating!

Guillermo De la Cruz (Harvey Guillén)
Last, but definitely not least, is Guillermo. He's Nandor's long-suffering familiar.
Guillermo dreams of becoming a vampire himself. However, he is treated more like a glorified servant. He cleans up their messes and protects them from sunlight (and other vampires).
Why This Cast Works So Well
The magic of What We Do In The Shadows is in the cast's chemistry. They play off each other perfectly.

They take their roles seriously, even when the situations are absurd. The mockumentary style makes it feel so real. You're practically a fly on the wall in their creepy Staten Island mansion.
The show pokes fun at vampire tropes. But it does so with affection and wit. It also feels really fresh.
Season 1: A Must-See
Season one introduces these characters brilliantly. It sets the stage for all the hilarious chaos to come.

There are vampire councils, awkward human interactions, and plenty of blood (sometimes). Each episode is a new adventure in undead domesticity.
If you're looking for a comedy that's smart, silly, and totally original, give What We Do In The Shadows a try. You might just find yourself craving more!
Trust me, you won't regret spending some time with these lovable (and totally dysfunctional) vampires. Season 1 is the perfect place to start. Get ready to laugh!
