What Time Does The Masters Come On Television

Ah, the Masters. That glorious week in April when the azaleas bloom and grown men weep over missed putts.
But let's be honest. Half the battle is figuring out when to actually watch the darn thing. It's like a national treasure hunt, but the treasure is Tiger Woods and the map is a confusing TV schedule.
The "Official" Answer (Which Nobody Trusts)
Okay, okay. I'll give you the party line. Officially, the Masters coverage usually starts around 3:00 PM ET on Thursday and Friday.
Must Read
Saturday and Sunday? A bit earlier, maybe around 3:00 PM ET again. But does it really?
That's the question that keeps me up at night, folks.
My Unpopular Opinion: It Starts Way Earlier (If You're Sneaky)
Here's where I might lose some of you. Are you ready?

The real Masters coverage starts hours before the televised broadcast. Think about it.
People are on the course, swinging clubs, and making birdies (or, more likely, bogeys) from morning 'til night. Shouldn't we be seeing that?
Thankfully, in this day and age, we have options.
Check the Masters.com website. They usually have a live stream of featured groups starting way earlier than the official broadcast.

Also, scour social media. Somebody's always streaming something. Maybe it's a shaky video of Rory McIlroy on the 12th. Maybe it's just someone eating a pimento cheese sandwich. Either way, it's something.
The Amen Corner Always Beckons
Let's be real for a second. The real fun starts with Amen Corner.
Everyone knows the 11th, 12th and 13th holes at Augusta can make or break a golfer's hopes, and thus make or break your viewing experience.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the TV networks know this. They'll be glued to those holes when the drama is high.

Don't Forget The Weather (Because Mother Nature is a Jokester)
One final thing to keep in mind: the weather. Rain delays can throw the entire schedule into chaos.
Suddenly, the Masters comes on at 5:00 PM ET, or maybe not at all. It's like a surprise party, but instead of cake, you get disappointed golf fans.
So, stay vigilant. Check the weather forecast. Follow the Masters Tournament on Twitter. And most importantly, be prepared to adjust your viewing schedule on the fly.
So, What Time Does The Masters Come On?
The answer, my friends, is complicated. It's a moving target. It's a philosophical question that has baffled generations.

Officially? 3:00 PM ET. Unofficially? Whenever you can find it. And that, my friends, is the beauty of the Masters.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go set my DVR to record everything from 8:00 AM ET to 8:00 PM ET, just to be safe. You never know when Jordan Spieth will pull off another miracle shot.
Happy viewing!
And remember, even if you miss a few hours, the magic of Augusta is still there waiting for you.
