What Time And Channel Is The Final Four

Okay, folks, let's get real. We all know the Final Four is a big deal. It's like the Super Bowl of college basketball, only with more awkward mascots.
But trying to figure out what time it actually starts? And which channel? That's a whole different ball game, isn't it?
The Great Scheduling Mystery
It's always a guessing game, isn't it? You Google "Final Four," and you get approximately 8 million different start times. My brain starts to hurt.
Must Read
It feels like they deliberately make it hard. Like some sort of initiation ritual for basketball fans. Only the truly dedicated (or the incredibly bored) will survive.
Seriously, is it on ESPN? TBS? TNT? TruTV? Am I going to need a special decoder ring?
Decoding the Channel Chaos
Usually, one of the Turner networks (TBS, TNT, or TruTV) gets the honors. Thanks, Turner! Though, honestly, they could just pick one and stick with it.

ESPN usually snags some of the earlier rounds. Which is great, until you have to explain to your grandma why the basketball game is on a channel she's never heard of.
And don't even get me started on trying to find it on streaming. Between Hulu, YouTube TV, Sling... the choices are endless. (And usually involve signing up for a free trial you'll forget to cancel.)
The Ever-Elusive Start Time
The first game typically tips off sometime on Saturday evening. Think between 6 PM and 7 PM Eastern. But don't quote me on that.

Then the second game starts roughly 30-40 minutes after the first one ends. So, basically, whenever they feel like it.
This means, if you have dinner plans? Good luck. You're probably going to be late. Blame basketball. Everyone else does.
My Unpopular Opinion: Late Games Are Evil
I'm just going to say it: late games are the worst. Who decided that starting a basketball game at 9:30 PM Eastern was a good idea?
Do they not realize some of us have to get up early? To go to work? To chase after toddlers who think 6 AM is a perfectly reasonable wake-up time?

Give me a 3 PM tip-off any day. I can watch basketball, eat snacks, and still get a decent night's sleep. What's not to love?
The Bottom Line (Because We Need One)
So, to recap: The Final Four is on... somewhere. At some time. Probably on a channel you didn't know existed.
Your best bet? Google it five minutes before the game starts. And pray. Maybe offer a small sacrifice to the basketball gods (a bag of chips usually works).

And remember, it's all about enjoying the game. Even if you have to watch it on your phone while hiding in the bathroom at your family dinner. No judgement here.
Just don't forget to set your DVR... just in case! And may the best team win... especially if they're playing at a reasonable hour.
Good luck, and happy watching! May your brackets be busted, your snacks plentiful, and your sanity only slightly diminished. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go set a reminder to cancel that free trial...
And don't forget, remember to have fun! Maybe bet with your friends!
