What They Do In The Shadows Season 4

Okay, Let's Talk Shadows Season 4. I Have Thoughts.
Season 4 of What We Do In The Shadows. It was...a season. Let's just dive right in, shall we? Maybe I'm alone on this island, but something felt different.
Was it bad? No, definitely not bad. Was it the best? Hmm, that's where things get tricky. I had some issues with certain storylines, I am just saying.
Baby Colin Robinson: Cute, but...
Okay, Baby Colin Robinson was undeniably adorable. Who didn’t squee at the little energy vampire crawling around? But, I have to say, the whole rapid aging thing? I am not a fan.
Must Read
It felt rushed, didn't it? We barely got to enjoy him as a kid. Just my opinion.
Plus, his jokes? Were they really that boring? Sometimes I felt like I actually liked them. Maybe I'm the energy vampire now.
Nandor's Eternal Quest for Love (and Wives)
Nandor's search for a wife. It was a major plot point, and I am tired. Poor guy. I guess finding true love after centuries is tough.

But did anyone else find it... a little repetitive? He's been searching for love since season one. Can we move on, please?
The whole wedding thing? Messy. Just like Nandor himself. Although, I did feel bad for him when it all fell apart.
Nadja's Vampire Nightclub: A Vibe
Nadja's vampire nightclub? Actually, I loved that. Total chaos, glitter, and goth energy. I was all in.
It was fun to see her actually doing something. Besides, you know, being effortlessly cooler than everyone else.

The little doll version of herself? Genius. Pure genius. Nadja is iconic. She really carried the season.
Guillermo: Finally Getting His Due?
Guillermo. Oh, sweet Guillermo. My favorite character. I wanted him to have something for himself, to get noticed.
The whole Van Helsing lineage thing was intriguing. But then, he just... paid someone to turn him into a vampire?

I'm not sure I loved that choice. It felt a little... cheap? Maybe I wanted him to discover some hidden power. I wanted some true drama!
Laszlo: The Reluctant Dad
Laszlo with Baby Colin was unexpectedly heartwarming. He became a reluctant father figure. Who knew?
Their dynamic was probably the best part of the season. It did add a bit of heart. Although, Laszlo trying to teach him about jazz was too funny.
I really enjoyed it. Especially when he was also being a total weirdo.

Unpopular Opinion Time
Maybe this is just me, but Season 4 felt... less focused. Some plot lines were great. Others felt a little off. Don't get me wrong, I still laughed! I would recommend people watch.
I just had a feeling things are not as I wanted them to be. Maybe my expectations were too high. Or maybe the show is evolving. Hopefully, in a good direction.
Anyway, I'm still on board for Season 5. I am looking for them to redeem themselves. I am ready for more vampire shenanigans. Come on, Shadows team, do not let me down!
What did you think? Was I too harsh? Let me know! I am ready for the debate.
