What Night Does The Good Doctor Come On

Okay, let's talk about something important. Something that affects our Monday nights. Something...medical.
I'm talking about The Good Doctor, of course!
The Nightly Conundrum
For years, we've known. We've accepted. We've marked our calendars. The Good Doctor graces our screens on Monday nights.
Must Read
But…does it really?
Hear me out. This might be controversial. My friends already think I'm a little off my rocker for even suggesting this.
Is it truly a Monday show?
Monday. The start of the week. Filled with dread and the lingering echoes of Sunday fun. Is that really the best time for a heartwarming (and sometimes heartbreaking) medical drama?
I propose a different theory. A radical one, perhaps.

The Good Doctor…belongs on Tuesday.
Now, before you grab your pitchforks and torches, let me explain. Monday is already a struggle. We're trying to get our lives together. Emails. Meetings. The horror!
Do we really want to add emotional turmoil to the mix? A potentially devastating medical case to ponder as we try to focus on spreadsheets?
I think not!

The Case for Tuesday
Tuesday, on the other hand…Tuesday is the unsung hero of the week.
Monday's over. We're in the groove. We've survived the initial onslaught of emails. We deserve a treat!
And what better treat than The Good Doctor? A little bit of hope, a little bit of medical mystery, and a whole lot of Freddie Highmore being brilliant.
Imagine this: Tuesday evening. You've conquered your to-do list (or at least made a valiant effort). You settle down with a cup of tea (or a glass of wine, no judgment here). The opening credits roll.

Pure bliss!
My Unpopular Opinion
Maybe I'm alone in this. Maybe everyone else is perfectly happy with The Good Doctor on Mondays.
But I can't shake the feeling. It just feels like a Tuesday show.
It's the perfect mid-week pick-me-up. A reminder that even in the face of adversity, there's always hope. And maybe, just maybe, a brilliant young surgeon can save the day.

So, ABC, if you're listening…please consider my humble request. Give Shaun Murphy and the team at St. Bonaventure a new home on Tuesday nights.
It's what they deserve. It's what we deserve.
And let's be honest, it's what Mondays deserve – a little less emotional weight.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. I eagerly await your agreement (or, at least, your polite disagreement).
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a calendar to rearrange. Just in case.
