What New Movies Are Coming Out In June

June! Sunshine, BBQs, and… blockbuster movies? Yep, summer's here, and so is a whole heap of new flicks vying for our attention (and our hard-earned cash).
Action-Packed Adventures
First up, we have Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back. Expect explosions. Expect corny jokes. Honestly? I'm secretly excited. Sue me.
Then there’s Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1. Kevin Costner directs and stars in this Western epic. Three hours long? My bladder is already weeping.
Must Read
And speaking of long, prepare for Kinds of Kindness. This is another Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos collaboration. Expect it to be...weird. But interesting weird, probably.
Animated Antics and Family Fun
Got kids? Or are you just a big kid at heart? (No judgment here!) Then you might be interested in Inside Out 2. Remember the first one? Get ready for more emotional turmoil, but, you know, cute.

I'm not going to lie, I thought the first Inside Out was overrated. Don't @ me.
There's also Despicable Me 4, starring everyone's favorite lovable yellow miscreants, the Minions! Are they still funny? I honestly don't know. But my niece loves them, so I'll probably end up seeing it anyway.

Creepy Crawlies and Spooky Spectacles
Feeling brave? Or maybe just enjoy being scared out of your wits? June also brings us some horror options. Get ready for The Watchers, another directorial debut from Ishana Night Shyamalan, M. Night Shyamalan's daughter. Seems she has an eye for the dark, too!
The trailer for this one legitimately creeped me out. So, yeah, proceed with caution. Or, you know, watch it from behind a pillow like I probably will.
Not horror, but a thriller: A Quiet Place: Day One. This one is a prequel. We'll see the alien invasion in New York! Sounds intense.

Other Offerings
There's always a few wild cards thrown into the mix. This month, that might be Tuesday starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. In this movie, she has to come to terms with the death of her terminally ill daughter who transforms into a parrot. What?! Now you're interested, right?
It looks quirky and heartfelt, maybe even a little heartbreaking. Definitely one to watch if you're looking for something different.

June's lineup is a bit of a mixed bag, isn't it? Something for everyone, as they say. But let's be real, we're all secretly hoping for that one surprise hit that no one sees coming.
My Unpopular Opinion
Okay, confession time: I'm probably more excited for the guilty-pleasure action flicks than any of the "serious" dramas. Sometimes, you just need to turn your brain off and watch things explode. Don't judge me!
So, what will you be seeing this June? Whatever it is, grab some popcorn (extra butter, please) and enjoy the show. After all, that's what summer is all about, right?
