What Movies Are Coming Out In July 2021

July, July, July! Summer is here! And that means one thing: movies. Lots and lots of movies. Buckle up, butter your popcorn (extra butter, please!), because July 2021 is ready to rumble. Let's peek at what's hitting the big screen.

Blockbuster Bonanza!

First, we have Black Widow. Finally! Natasha Romanoff gets her own solo flick. It's about time, am I right?

I'm prepared to defend this hill: she was the most interesting Avenger anyway.

Then there's Space Jam: A New Legacy. LeBron James teams up with the Looney Tunes? Okay, sure. Let's see what you've got. Though, nothing can beat the original.

Speaking of sequels... Escape Room: Tournament of Champions. More deadly puzzles? Sign me up. But let's be honest, these movies are always a little bit ridiculous.

Indie Darlings and Quirky Gems

Not into superheroes or cartoon crossovers? No problem! July has some smaller films too. Check out Summer of Soul.

A documentary about the Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969? Sounds fascinating and educational. Expect to hear some amazing music.

Got kids? The Boss Baby: Family Business arrives. Look, I'm not going to pretend I'm excited. But my little cousins will love it. It's colorful and loud. Perfect for a summer afternoon.

For horror fans, there's Old from M. Night Shyamalan. People aging rapidly on a beach? Sounds like a nightmare vacation. This director's movies can be hit or miss, so fingers crossed!

My (Potentially Unpopular) Opinions

Here's where I get controversial. I'm cautiously optimistic about Space Jam: A New Legacy. Nostalgia is powerful. But can LeBron fill Michael Jordan’s shoes (or sneakers, rather)? Jury is still out.

Don’t @ me. The original Space Jam is untouchable.

Also, I secretly love those cheesy "people trapped in a room" movies. Escape Room and its sequel? Guilty pleasure. Don’t tell anyone.

Honestly, I'm most excited for Black Widow. Scarlett Johansson is a powerhouse. And a good spy story is always welcome. I’m expecting explosions, cool gadgets, and maybe a few tears.
